Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 3:10,11

As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands,
there is no one who seeks God.

Romans 5:12

the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

I Peter 2:19,20

For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they
are conscious of God. But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong
and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable
before God.

I Peter 4:16

However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that
name.

Philippians 3:10

I want to know Christyes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his
sufferings, becoming like him in his death.

Hebrews 12:5-7

And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a
father addresses his son. It says, "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do
not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he
chastens everyone he accepts as his son." Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you
as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?

Proverbs 3:11-12

My son, do not despise the LORD'S discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, Because the
LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Revelation 3:19

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.

Psalms 51:9,10

Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

II Timothy 2:3-5

Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier
gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.
Similarly, if anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor's crown except
by competing according to the rules.

II Cor. 10:3,4

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we
fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to
demolish strongholds.

Ephesians 6:12,13

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you
may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

I Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when
you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Hebrews 2:18

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being
tempted.

Hebrews 4:14-16

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of
God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is
unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every
way, just as we are--yet he did not sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

I Cor. 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful;
he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will
also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

II Timothy 2:22

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with
those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

II Peter 2:9

If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the
unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

Galatians 5:16

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

I John 2:6

Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

Ephesians 5:1,2

Follow Gods example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just
as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of

No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I
