Warlord and Army background:

One of the few forces of protection of the foul denizens of the warp, the Grey
Knight force, known as the Crusaders of Redemption, led by Grand Master
Vardan Kai strive to cleanse the universe from all taint. Vardan, having lost many
battle brothers in conflicts with the daemonic forces of the warp, he dedicated
his life to wreak vengeance on those who slaughtered the innocent. He himself
had suffered a terrible curse from the Daemon Prince Dkan, who ensured that
wherever he went, his battle brothers would be fated to die horrible deaths, and
yet he would remain alive, forever scarred with the guilt of the fact that he was
responsible for the fallen. However, unknown to all but those closest to him, his
secret ambition is to find the ancient chronomatic artefact, which ancient
prophecies dictated to be located on a planet named Sable. With this artefact, he
hopes to force the river of time to flow upstream, and prevent the deaths of his
battle brothers before they even happened.
They pursued the forces of Tzeentch across the galaxy, a long battle of attrition,
with neither side gaining the edge over the other. For countless decades, they
waged seemingly endless wars, and now the Crusaders of Redemption have
cornered the forces of Tzeentch on one of the many planets in the universeSable. However, though the enemy was cornered, it wouldnt be easy. War was
never easy. The spawn of Tzeentch were cunning, and being a force of change,
they would be able to disguise themselves amongst the other races of the
planet. Neither having the means to properly locate all of the daemons on such a
large scale, or the ability to wield Exterminatus class weapons, the Crusaders of
Redemption made planetfall, and set off on a crusade to bring the tainted to
death, which would be a series of many unforgettable battles. However, the
strands of fate had seemingly cursed the Knights. They had arrived at a planet
which was already host to many hostile races from across the galaxy who wanted
the planet for their own gains, good intended or bad, and would stop at nothing
to eradicate all others who questioned their dominance. Employing the finest

warriors throughout the galaxy, the Grey Knights would purge the daemons from
the innocent, and ultimately, the beings of the warp would be made weaker; a
vital step towards the complete suppression of the daemonic powers that would
eventually bring the galaxy to rubble if left to grow.
There would be blood. There would be war. There would be death. But several
million deaths on small planet would have to be an unavoidable sacrifice that
would have to be made in order to save countless others.
