Cebu Heritage Monument

The Heritage of Cebu Monuments is
a tableau of sculptures made of
concrete, bronze, brass and steel
showing about events and
structures related to the history of
Cebu. The construction of the
monument began on July 1997 and
it was finished on December 2000.
Local artist Eduardo Castillo built the
sculptures of the Cebu Heritage
Monument. Funding for the
monuments is come from the late
Senator Marcelo Fernan as well a
private individuals and groups.
Historical structure carved into the
huge monolith are the Basilica del
Santo Nio, Cebu Metropolitan
Cathedral, San Juan Bautista Parish
Church, and a Spanish Galleon. The
statues of the late President Sergio
Osmea Sr. and blessed Pedro
