Employing friendly and motivated personnel, Claudious Tours and Safaris aims to give
you a "home away from home." Periodic in house training is given to all our staff
members to ensure that they are conversant with their various aspects of tours and travel.
The driver guides are thoroughly trained with long experience in the tourism field, having
a "hands on" knowledge of the people, the flora and fauna in their areas of operation, the
roads and seasonal weather conditions to enable them make informed decisions on behalf
of our clients.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Nairobi – Tree hotel
You drive in the morning to your base hotel for lunch and then onto your Tree hotel for
the evening game watching, dinner and overnight.
Drive around the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains and down the escarpment into
the Great Rift Valley for lunch, relax in the afternoon, swim, or enjoy a boat ride, bird
walk or game view, depending upon the lake visited. Dinner and overnight by a lake
hotel.
Your Safari in Kenya continues across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai
Mara Game Reserve for lunch, an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight. The Mara
is one of Kenya’s most popular game reserves as most species of game found in the
country live in its well- watered plains.
Day 4 Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon Game drives to look for the’ big five’ with meals and overnight at

Day 6: Amboseli
A day of game drives in this park, which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and
hippos in abundance. A visit to the observation hill will follow where you will look out
for Mt. Kilimanjaro peak if weather conditions permit. A variety of plains game,
antelopes and birds can be also be seen. You will have a lunch and leisure break at the
campsite in the mid afternoon. Rest of meals and overnight at the Lodge.

This 7 days safari features three major reserves in Kenya; namely Samburu National
Reserve, Lake Nakuru National Park and Maasai Mara Game Reserve, and gives you the
opportunity to stay overnight in a tree hotel at Mount Kenya Area - the Serena Mountain
Lodge.
The Samburu National Reserve, located about 220 miles north of Nairobi is relatively
small, covering an area of only 104 square km with a unique landscapes of rounded and
rugged hills and undulating plains. Small herds of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard,
cheetah and plains game are present but a special feature of this Reserve are the various
species of game unique to these northern parks - Beisa oryx, the long necked gerenuk,
Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue shanked Somali ostrich. The leopard is
often seen.
Lake Nakuru is one of the greatest world’s famous bird spectacles with over 400 bird
species besides the flamingoes that carpet the lake. Many species of game can be found in
the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion,
buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.
Masai Mara Game Reserve on the other hand is Kenya's most spectacular of all Kenyan
parks and reserves, and here you have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion,
leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. The Reserve covers an area of 700 square miles and
forms part of the Serengeti ecosystem and hence hosts the world famous spectacle of the
annual migration of up to two million wildebeest, thousands of zebra and an escort of
carnivores from the Serengeti plains, following the rains and succulent new grass.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi/Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya and north across the
equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving Samburu Serena Lodge in time lunch.
Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 2: Samburu
Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a
beautiful and and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa
Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Optional
activites include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and
bird walks. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

elephant, buffalo, a prowl of leopard, a coalition of cheetahs and plains game are present
but a special feature of this Reserve are the various species of wildlife unique to these
northern parks - Beisa oryx, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue
legged Somali ostrich.

DAY 7: SAMBURU
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. After breakfast another game drive.
After lunch relax since Samburu is very hot you can swim in one of the lodges, and then
proceed for the late evening game drive, dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
