Giving Update
The ministry of SHC is funded entirely by the
generous giving of Gods people. You will
notice that we do not pass the offering plate;
however, there are offering boxes in the back
of the auditorium. We believe from the Word
of God that the Spirit of God will lead people
towards giving back to God of their first fruits.
...God loves a cheerful giver, (2 Cor. 9:7).

Please prayerfully consider what the Lord

would have you do.

Our Purpose
Love God.
Love Others.
Reach The World.
We proclaim Him, admonishing every
man and teaching every man with all
wisdom, so that we may present every
man complete in Christ. For this
purpose also I labor, striving according
to His power, which mightily works
within me. Colossians 1:28-29

Special Focus:
VICTORY OVER SPIRITUAL TERRORISM
LUKE 10:17-20

Presented by
Tim Anderson
February 14, 2016

After the spiritual warfare movement was going strong, I decided

to offer a Demonology class at Corban University. This Present
Darkness by Frank Peretti and Tom Whites The Believers Guide
to Spiritual Warfare were wildly popular books of that movement.
After the first day of class, one of my students told me about a
conversation she had just had with a friend who had found out
she was taking our class.
Youre taking a class on demons? her friend asked.
Yeah? she replied a bit puzzled.
Arent you afraid? she asked.
Afraid of what? my student asked.
You know . . . youll be entering into HIS realm.
When she told me this, neither of us were completely sure what
she meant by HIS realm and what effect that was supposed to
have on us in the class. Were we all in BIG trouble??!! We didnt
know. But we did know this was one of the fearful effects of
Satans spiritual terrorism.

Jesus not only faced demons during His ministry, but He tried to
help His students understand the real issues behind this warfare.
Luke 10:17-20 was just such a time.

The Point: Nothing can stand in the way of Gods advancing

kingdom, esp. Satan and demons.
3.

Their Right Rejoicing (10:20)

EXTREME RESPONSES TO THIS PASSAGE AND SATANIC

TERRORISM
Key Errors: Absolutizing or Reductionism
Characterized by always, only, never statements.
Because God did something in the Bible, He must do it always,
especially today.
Because it doesnt happen today, it never has.
Because there are only psychological, social or physical
factors that contribute to evil - that is all there is to it.
