Turkey: Global Day of Prayer
Sunday, April 18th is the Global Day of Prayer for Turkey. On this day
in 2007, three brothers in Christ were tortured and brutally murdered
for their allegiance to Jesus. We need to pray for fertile ground in the
country of Turkey which is very resistant to the gospel.

This is the land of Noah, of

Abraham, of Paul, of Ararat and
Harran, of Antioch, Ephesus,
Galatia, of the Seven Churches
of Revelation, and many others.
Yet today, the body of Christians
in Turkey is less than 0.1% of the
population of 72 million.

To make disciples of all nations, you can begin

30 Days of
Prayer
For
close to home by praying for your own city. Ask
Jesus to teach you how to have His eyes and heart
for the community so you can pray with the same
love that caused Him to weep over Jerusalem

Southwest Florida
(Luke 19:41). Then use this 30-day prayer guide to
intercede for your town, in your neighborhood, and
with city influencers.

FIRST TEN DAYS

Pray for specific concerns facing your city. “I urge, then, first of all, that requests,
prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those
in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives…This is good, and pleases God
our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1
Timothy 2:1-4).

1. Pray for the church to be passionate about saving your city from disaster.
(Genesis 18:20-33)
2. Pray for Christians in the marketplace to weep as they intercede for the city’s
broken walls and gates, cry out to the Lord, and receive the favor of secular
leaders. (Nehemiah 1:1-2:10)
3. Ask the Lord to grant peace and prosperity to your city and for Christ’s
influence to increase. (Jeremiah 29:7)
4. Pray for church leaders to have a God-sized concern for your city.
(Jonah 4:10-11)
5. Pray for an unprecedented receptivity to the gospel across your city for people
of all ages, races, and economic statuses. (1 Thessalonians 1:9)
6. Pray that the Lord will find in your community a place of prayer wherever
believers gather. (Acts 16:11-15)
7. Pray for your city to show and tell the good news to the poor, the prisoners, the
blind, and the oppressed. (Luke 4:18-19)
8. Pray for the church in your city to repent of its failures, pleading for God’s
mercy. (Daniel 9:1-19)
9. Pray for your city to become a place of refuge for people seeking protection,
justice, or redemption. (Numbers 35:6)
10. Petition the Lord for the gospel to be discussed and debated in your
community’s places of learning. (Acts 17:16-34)

Kids Welcome To KidzTown!!!

orner

Each week at KidzTown, our children in 1st through 4th grades have
the opportunity to worship the Lord “Kid Style”. We have a great time
studying His Word, singing His praises, and seeking His will. With
puppetry, skits, and games the lessons learned each day are enforced.
We will be continuing lessons in the book of James. This week Captain
Sandbar will teach Major Reefrash how our words can be pleasing to the
Lord and helpful to others. Your child will not want to miss this week’s
KidzTown Worship which meets Saturday at 6:00 p.m. or Sunday at
9:30 a.m. in DC120. Afterwards your child will be escorted to a BLG class
where he will further learn God’s Word and experience the
love of God in a relational small group atmosphere.

KidzTown begins Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and

Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Christ with these people? Come join us as we explore various world religions
and cults and discover ways to share the good news of the gospel. David
George will be teaching this class on Saturday evenings beginning, April 17
in Room DC115. Everyone is welcome.

Interested in Joining the
Music & Worship Ministry Team?
If you have listened to the choir or orchestra before and have been blessed
by their ministry, then you are probably aware of the fact it takes people that
are willing to share their musical talents to not only bless others, but more
importantly, to serve Christ. If you have thought about joining the choir or
orchestra before, now is a great time to get on board and see if this is where
God would have you serve.

Worship Choir meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays
