February 9 we were honored with a visit from Ari Ramos at the

Chamber/Visitor Center in Carrabelle. She met David Butler and
was invited to do a presentation at the after school program "The
Nest" at the Carrabelle City Complex that afternoon. Her Run
Across America began in Jacksonville, FL, and will end in
California. She is looking for opportunities to speak in schools
about the problem of childhood obesity. The Old Carrabelle Hotel
generously offered her a warm room that evening before she
continued her trip on Wednesday. Next stop was meeting with
Tana Kendrick who arranged for her to speak with the students at
the Apalachicola Bay Charter School. You can follow her journey
by liking her Facebook page. Everyone who has met her is
impressed with her energy and dedication to this issue and we all
wish her the best of luck on her journey!
