Manufacturing Engineer for Underbody Structures, Body Closures, and Exteriors. Managed Body-In-White VDP
program deliverables, resolved cross-functional manufacturing issues, and controlled program capital projects while
providing vehicle build expertise, facilitating product changes, and communicating manufacturing requirements to
Product Design Teams. Responsible for presenting program status to BIW senior management.
Managed local supplier development (Mexico) for the program and worked with suppliers in meeting
schedules and product deliverables (i.e., timing, quality, PPAP, Build Events, prototypes, etc.)
Initiated cost saving strategies within the Body-In-White organization streamlining vehicle validation and

manufacturing processes, part integrity, quality, and fit and function issues; then drove all issues to resolution
prior to gate release and/or vehicle launch.
Saved $1,200,000 in cost using VA/VE, DFM, DFSS, and Lean Tools such as continuous improvement, pokeyoke methodologies, kanban, visual controls, Cp/Cpk analysis, GR&R studies, and team mentoring.
Successfully launched the 2010 Cadillac SRX as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to the Vehicle Launch and
Manufacturing Execution Teams.
Lead Engineer for Class A surface development, specification requirement analysis and compliance studies
for Exterior surfaces and Interior Systems throughout the vehicle development process.
Managed New Product Introductions between Design Studio and Product Development organizations.
Reduced unscheduled downtime by 92% through optimization of the laser processing stations and assembly
cell operations. Established control processes and streamlined maintenance projects.
