Baksonvest is a family fund specialised in start-ups & buy-outs in the media/eCommerce sector:
 Co-founded Blossom and Twigs, an online florist based in the UK. Responsible for launch strategy, online
marketing including Search Engine Optimalisation, social media and business development. Led the firm
from inception to revenue in 3 months with conversion rates of 7%.
 Led buyout of major Social network focussed on high net worth individuals. Created strategy for entering
new markets and making current client base more profitable
 Led buyout of small extreme sport manufacturer. Created first 100-day strategy with management and
buy-out fund

Vice President, Operations, Glaxstar/Glubble 2007-2008


Glaxstar is a start-up and leader in Firefox browser development, working with clients such as Google, Nike,
eBay, Digg and BBC
Responsible fundraising and positioning the firm for growth; budget: up to $3M; team: 23.

Responsible for negotiation to form a Joint venture valued at more then €150M
 Analysed and reported on the global and regional markets for TV and the convergent trends in the
broadcasting industry
 Designed a Joint venture between several media firms to exploit sport broadcast rights via TV, Internet
and mobile platforms.
 Selected potential targets for the JV and participated as an industry expert in the negotiations with the
potential partners

Cross Media Consulting (XMC) XMC devised, designed and managed cross media concepts for clients in the
publishing, TV, Telecom and online media space

capabilities of the inbound call centre

 Secured niche online project management software market and maintained double digit growth for 4 years
 Developed applications in the architecture and property space, which saved over 30% in construction and

 Sold the business in 2002 for an undisclosed sum to Speedit that in turn was acquired by Match4
