RESOLUTION TO APPOINT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO FILL VACANCIES

1 WHEREAS, The IUSA Congress requires that as many seats as possible be filled to best represent IU
2 students and fulfill the duties of Congress; and,

4 WHEREAS, There are currently 9 vacancies in the IUSA Congress; and,
5
6 WHEREAS, The IUSA Rules, Membership, and Internal Affairs Committee has an obligation under
7 Article II, Section 8 of the IUSA Constitution to appoint replacements to fill vacant seats; and,
8
9 WHEREAS, The Rules, Membership, and Internal Affairs has reviewed the following individual based
10 on applications submitted to the committee and made a decision to appoint him to represent the Briscoe
11 constituency;

13 THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, That the Student Body Congress appoint the following
14 member to represent the Briscoe constituency for the remainder of the 2008-2009 academic year, unless
15 he be removed before that time by the procedures provided in the IUSA Constitution:
