As a Reliability Engineering Consultant:
I was Lead Instructor and RCM Facilitator/Analyst for the Naval Sea Systems Commands Accelerated
Surface Ship Maintenance Effectiveness Review program (SURFMER).
I conducted more than 50 training/analysis sessions for U.S. Navy In-Service Engineering Agents and
facilitating RCM analyses of selected systems for U.S. Navy maintenance workload reductions.
I co-author of the NAVSEAs Backfit RCM methodology which has resulted in an operational
maintenance reduction of 3.5 million man-hours per year for the Navys Surface Fleet.
I developed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) RCM consulting practice with Varco systems
resulting in the development of a reusable strategy and vision for assisting OEMs in re-engineering their
maintenance programs through the incorporation of current technologies in predictive technologies (PT)
and preventive maintenance (PM).

I was directly responsible for reliability initiative in Maintenance Engineering to capitalize on critical systems and
improve reliability using RCM methodologies.
I managed a Mill-Wide Vibration Analysis program covering over 8,000 pumps and motors as well as 6
Paper Machines, Pulp Mill, Wood Yard, and Power Generation Areas.
I managed the Pulp Mill Maintenance Reliability Engineering program covering entire Pulp Mill and 43
million gallons-per-day (GPD) fresh-water pumping system in PT and PM actions.
I was responsible for IS computer upgrade project for entire Maintenance System.
Additionally, I have a thorough knowledge of all Paper Mill process systems including Dryer Steam System
Reliability and Air Conservation and Usage programs.
U.S Navy Various
Squadron Maintenance Officer/Detachment Officer-in-Charge As Squadron Maintenance Officer, I was directly responsible for:

I served as Senior Maintenance Functional Test Pilot for all post-maintenance testing of GE-T58 Gas
Turbine engines.
As Detachment Officer in Charge, Helicopter Aircraft Commander, and Senior Pilot, I was responsible for
leadership and administration for 4 pilots and 13 maintenance men. Deployed to Mediterranean Sea aboard U.S.
Navy Frigate. I retired in 1997 as a Commander (O-5) from the U.S. Naval Reserves.
