A book written and was put into movie inspired by the worlds famous writer William Shakespeare, based
from his story Romeo and Juliet. A beautiful love story but ended up with tragedy. Once you are born in
this world there is someone out there who is destined for you, you dont have to look for him just let love
find the both of you and prove that true love is true. Love is taking risks and even sacrifices; its like a
rainbow after the rain, the moon in the dark night and the sun every morning.
And this famous True Love can be witnessed in the movie Letters to Juliet.

What and if are two words as non-threatening as words can be, but put them together side-byside and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life

Letters to Juliet is movie about people searching for true love. They have journeyed for many
miles, and even waited for many years before they find their beloved. Watching the movie leads us into
the world of love, kindness, heartbreaks, faithfulness, sacrifice and even decision making. The movie was
shot in Verona making it more romantic than ever, the famous statue of Juliet was in the movie which adds
to its realistic effect. Many beautiful scenery of the country Italy were seen. Its like entering the modern
world of Romeo and Juliet.
A story written by Lise Friedman and Ceil Friedman, and was put into movie by Mr. Gary Winick. The
movie lasts for almost one hour and forty-five minutes. The actors and actresses were all very good no
doubt because it was Amanda Seyfried plays one of the major roles, as Sophie, Christopher Egan, as
Charlie, Vanessa Redgrave, as Claire and Franco Nero as Lorenzo Bartolini.
Every bit of the story can touch the heart of its viewers; one will be excited to know if true love really exists
in this world or is it just a dumb thought of desperate persons. Loving and being loved by the person ones
heart is yearning for was the happiest feeling of all, though there were many obstacles and hindrances
might occur, even the time will be your enemy just like in the movie, but if one believe that true love really
exist happily ever after will be written in your story. Letters to Juliet is a movie depicting the life of four
persons yearning to be love and be loved back; it is a must to be watch, because it teaches everyone
what true love is. The movie tells us that true love is cannot be measured and cannot be forced into
someone, it was something to be felt toward someone without a reason, you will just feel it.
Letters to Juliet started when Sophie and her fianc travelled to Italy before they will be wed. These
two lovers were very distinct to each other; it was like they are living in a very different world, Sophie as a
writer and Victor as a Chef.
Sophie tours the city of Verona, there she visited the famous statue of Juliet, there ladies wrote a letter to
Juliet concerning about love problems, being curious as a writer, Sophie have found out that there were
persons who are called secretaries of Juliet, they are the one who answers, give advices to the ladies.
Because of them, Sophie met Claire and her grandson Charlie. The meeting of these three persons

started the real story of the movie. Theyve journeyed in different places searching for the love of Claire,
the person whom she loved and still loving fifty years ago. The movie was not a dull one; it was full of
excitement and thrill as it goes nearer to its climax, though it was a little bit predictable still it didnt add to
lessen the enthusiasm to watch the movie.
Love the major theme of the movie. The movie teaches so many things about life, like in pursuing
what we really dreamed of even though there are many obstacles to be face. Making decisions even it is a
hard thing to do and how to love truly in this cruel world. And to convince us that true love waits. It was
easily conveyed by the reader because everyone can relate themselves when it comes to love, because I
believe that everyone had experienced, will experience how to love.
The realization that the main character, (Sophie), have discovered that greatly affects her decision
was when she decided to cancel her wedding with her fiance, it creates a twist in the story because at
first I thought that the love of Sophie and Victor will flourish and be stronger when they visit Verona but
Ive got the wrong idea, undoubtedly she really loved him but as the time passed she then recognized that
their relationship was not working well thats why shes the one who did the first move to stop their
relationship. It was a brave yet a very sad thing to do but sacrifices and great decisions should be made in
order to be happy and this decision of Sophie had solved the one of the conflicts in the story which is
realizing true love. Another thing is on the part of Lorenzo and Claire, the finding of true love, years have
passed but when they meet again they realized that they still love each other thus resolving the conflict in
the story, Claire thought that Lorenzo might not recognized or even remember her but these doubts
vanished when Lorenzo confessed that he still love her because when we are talking about love its never
too late.
The film was very good starting from the places where the movie was taken, the beautiful city of
Verona, New York and many different beautiful places in Italy. The shots and the filming was very
satisfactory, the angles of the camera were at the right projection to capture the intense and rectifying
moments. When it comes to wardrobe aspects, the dresses used suited the ambiance of the movie not
too dull or too exaggerated; one best example was on the last part of the movie, the characters wore
simple yet elegant dresses that really match the occasion. The lighting effects never failed because all
throughout the movie it was really clear you were able to see and recognized even the little details
happening in the movie. You will not be confused if the scene was day and night.
Love without expecting, never losing hope and making right decisions were some of the
lesson/values taught by the movie to its viewers, do not expect that if you have love someone he/she will
return the feelings always remember that true love will find a way. These messages are for everyone,
especially to those who are in loved they will learn so many things regarding love when they watch this
movie.

Letters to Juliet amazed me. I have experienced mixed emotions when Ive watched it, it made me
smile, laugh, cry (but not too much), lonely, thrilled, excited and even irritated. It was all about love, which I
know is very popular to viewers especially teen agers. It is a must see movie because if its creativeness
and admirable concepts, one will not regret if he/she watch it. For me the film was very good because I
myself was not fond of watching romantic movies but this film really made me to hook up in every scene. I
will rate it as ten, not only because it was all about love but it also taught me how to be a brave person as
well.
