Job Title:Technical Officer Maintenance & Stores


Location: Delhi
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: Graduate/AME/Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in Engineering Stores/Line Maintenance in Aviation
industry.
Skills/ Special Requirements:
Proficient in MS Office application/ERP software.
Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe
operating practices.
Good Knowledge of CAR M Procedures including Quality Procedures.
Good Knowledge of related DGCA regulations.
Familiar with human factor principles and SMS.
Knowledge of Aircraft and associated maintenance.
Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling.
Knowledge of maintenance management software.
JOB DESCRIPTION: MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To implement a system of stores receipt, storage, safekeeping, issue and dispatch to


satisfactorily provide material support to the aircraft maintenance and related
Engineering production activities.

To perform the duties of Stores Inspector.

To perform maintenance coordinator functions at the station level

To Perform Flight safety related duties at the station level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB


Logistics

Provide proper storage facilities, environment and arrangement to ensure that


Engineering Stores are maintained with effective security and safety control and in
manner conducive to condition preservation, easy handling and retrieval.

The stores are maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Establish an arrangement to provide timely and efficient issue and dispatch of spares
and materials to facilitate aircraft maintenance and related Engineering production
activities.

Implement a system of goods dispatch for timely and secure dispatch of aircraft
spares and materials.

Ensure proper housekeeping and safety of the stores and standards are met as per
CAR and regulatory requirements.

Monitor outstation stock situation and develop a system to monitor and replenish
outstation stock.

Ensure proper stock and inventory control records are maintained of all Engineering
Spares (Rotables/ Consumables / Expendables / FOL / Commercial).

Review and liaison with production managers regarding spare operational problem.

Arrangements for surface transport and third party cargo (Air / Surface) transportation
of spares to line stations.

To arrange for all third party loans as per requirement of engineering after the normal
working hours.

Submit returns & reports to the Asst Manager - Maintenance & Stores as laid down by
the management.

Stores Inspection

Monitoring Environmental control (temperature and humidity) including cleanliness


of the Stores.

Conduct incoming inspection of all materials entering the bonded stores and issue
appropriate tags.

Ensure AD/Mod status of the incoming component is current and applicable to QO


aircraft fleet.

Ensure traceability of the incoming component is available.

Inspect all components that are being returned unused by maintenance or removed
serviceable from the aircraft for any visual damage or signs of suspected
unserviceability. All suspected cases must be brought to the knowledge of Quality
Manager and Manager Logistics for suitable action.

Ensures segregation & storage of the materials according to their characteristics and
storage guidelines as provided by the OEM/Regulatory authorities.

To ensure all components in the bonded stores are from approved sources, packed
properly and have the appropriate documentary evidence to prove its airworthiness.

No unapproved/unauthorized parts are to be allowed in the bonded stores.

To monitor and ensure that raw materials and aircraft components are stored in a
satisfactory manner so as not to cause damages resulting in their rejection.

To monitor components/materials those deteriorate due to storage life restrictions and


prevent them from issuing for maintenance.

Monitor calibration of tools / test equipment and prevent calibration expired


equipments being issued to line maintenance.

Maintain and archive all records and documents pertaining to airworthiness & stores
inspection.

Ensure prompt removal of superseded/obsolete/redundant parts from the bonded


stores as per Technical circulars / Quality Notices issued from time to time.

Ensures ESDS components are handled as per laid down regulations within the stores
and check the conductivity of the ESD storage facility.

Quarantine stores should be strictly monitored and item pending for more than 15
days for resolution is to be reported to Manager - Logistics.

Maintenance Coordination

Familiarize with procedures of TPM along with OCC manual and proactively keep
OCC always advised of the ground level realities in terms of aircraft readiness for on
time departure.

Responsible for the coordination and supervision of aircraft maintenance activities


with the CAR 145 contracted maintenance organization at the station level in order to
achieve high reliability of the aircraft fleet.

Responsible for coordinating with OCC, GRD OPS, and the CAR 145 Maintenance
Organisation etc for coordinating aircraft maintenance with the aim of adhering the
flight timing schedules and prompt aircraft turnaround times without delays.

Responsible for Maximising the operational availability of the aircraft through close
monitoring and scheduling of all Maintenance Requirements and defect rectification.

Responsible to ensure that all spare orders are followed up for timely defect
rectification.

Ensure that all completed maintenance documentation are despatched promptly to


Technical Records Section.

Work closely with the Procurement and Ground Ops team for seam less availability of
spares and support equipments for maintenance.

Closely work with MCC/OCC and the team at the airport during AOG recovery

Act as a Technical Library representative at the station level, responsible for


Management and updation of the technical and on-board documentation at the station
level.

Flight Safety

Ensuring local management of Safety Department and appropriate briefing to local


Quality manager regarding safety matters at their operating base.

Working to ensure safe operations and safety improvements with special attention to
DG handling and GSE operations.

Running local safety meetings to elicit feedback.

Promoting safety information initiatives and safety culture at their base.

Promoting a reporting culture at their base.

To promote identification of Hazards and their reporting..

Reporting of all unusual occurrences.

Filing of MOR and assisting Captains in the same.

Conduct internal safety audit as per checklist provided and forward report to Head of
Flight Safety. Assist Audit teams from DGCA.

Check Anonymous report box as frequently as possible but at least once in two days.

Ensure Local ERP is available. Prepare action plan based on local ERP.

Participate in local ERP/Company ERP as per laid down procedure.

Prepare a daily checklist for safety activities and report all deviations.
