As per Latest Trend the cabling System should be of Cat-6 UTP Cable and suitable
accessories.

a) UTP Cable: The UTP cable should be Cat-6, 4 Pair, and Box of 305 Mtrs. Each Core will
have to be 23 AWG, and should support Min. 250 MHz end to end.
b) Patch Panel: Patch Panels should be of Cat-6 Standard, 24 Port , Rack Mountable (
19) with strain reliever and Dust proof.
c) Patch Cord & Mounting Cords: Should be of UTP Cat-6, 4 Pair, One with 1 Mtr. And
one with 2 Mtrs.( In each set). Each Patch Cord/Mounting Cord should be Factory Made
and Tested. Each Patch Cord/Mounting Cords should be with Coloured Boots.
d) Information Outlets- Should be having Single UTP Cat-6 Module with Dust Cover and
Face Plate British type and with Surface Mount Box.

3. As per Latest Trend and future connectivity with the Data Centre we are contemplating to
have the following Fiber Optic Cabling
a) FO cable & accessories Universal Type ( suitable for both underground and over
ground) Should have the suitable to support 10G upto 300 Mtrs. This Cable should also
features a dry water blocking system to prevent the flow of water along the cable in the
event of sheath breech. To be supplied with SC-SC Patch Cords( 3Mtrs) for both end , Rack
Mount LIU complete with Couplers and Adapters ( 6 port ) suitable with SC. Please note the SC
Connectors to be supplied should Meet EIA and IEC standards for repeatability. The
documentary evidence to be provided to support Scope of work. Should be OFNR riser rated
All these components should be of same make only and should have ISO, UL / ERTL
certificate as applicable along with ROHS compliance for each Category

4. Racks: Rack should have Height: 9U (Min) Width: 600 mm (Min.) and Depth:
600mm (Min.). These Racks should be wall mountable and Lockable Front Glass
door. Each Rack should be supplied with One AC Mains Channel with 6 Sockets (3
Pin), 1 No. Cable Manager (1U), Hardware Front Panel Mounting Screws and Nuts
(20Nos.)

Special Conditions (These special conditions to be totally followed, Non

compliance of any of the following will automatically reject the Tender)
1. Each of the above Items to be offered with Model No. Make and supported by
Product Data sheet with features to be highlighted.
2. Warranty: All active Components have to be offered with Min. 3 Years Advance
Hardware Replacement warranty and Min. 20 Years Manufacturers Certification
should support Structured Cabling.
3. OEM or Manufacturers authorization has to be attached for each item along with
your offer wherein the Manufacturer will refer to this Tender. The manufacturer
should also mention the warranty period in the Letter as asked in the Tender.
The authorization letter must be submitted in OEM Letter Head and in Original.
Any Photo Copy Or in other form will not be acceptable to us and the offer will
be rejected.
4. Vendor must give a point by Point Technical Compliance to all the specification
and should be marked as A, B, C..in the Data sheet with respect to the Tender
Specification.
5. Delivery: Delivery should be completed within 7 days maximum and installation
must be completed by 10 days.
6. Vendor Must Submit a schematic Diagram for the Network along with the
Tender. If required they can visit the site after making written application to the
Director of Local Bodies.
7. The Vendor to give following documents after successful completion of the
project. ( a. Auto CAD diagram showing all the Cabling details. b) Labeling details
c) All cable Testing Documents by approved Cat-6 Scanner d) Certification from
the OEM for structured Cabling.
Vendor Qualification (MUST Conditions failing which the offer will not be
considered):
a) The vendor who want to quote must exist for 3 years in IT Business and ISO
9001: 2000 Certified and Present in Kolkata for 3 Years.
b) Minimum Turnover with positive network for the last financial ( 2009-10) year is
Min. Rs. 10 Lacs.
c) Vendor must be preferably working in Data Centre environment ( Documentary
proof to be provided)
d) Vendor to provide Authorisation Letter from OEM
e) Vendor must have office in Kolkata with Vat Registration, Service Tax
Registration, PAN No, TAN no, Labour License
f) The OEM should be ISO 9001:2000 Certified. In the changing needs
of the global resources if the company has environmental management systems
in place like ISO 14001 accreditation the same shall be added advantage.
