Audio Lingual Method


I. Objectives

Ask for and give information about health problems and to make suggestion;
Make a dialog using expression asking for and giving information about health problems;
Demonstrate the dialog using expression of asking for and giving information about health
problems with their own dialog.

III. Leaning Activities
Drill: (The teacher reads the dialogue, then each class member takes a turn repeating this
dialogue)
Nica: Hi Nicole! Hi Bill!
Nicole: Hi Nica!
Bill: Hi Nica!
Nica: I need to earn extra cash.
Bill: Me too, I have a lot of bills.
Nicole: Look at this ad! It can help us.
Nica: Does the ad have an address?
Nicole: Yes it does.
Bill: Does it have a contact number?
Nicole: Yet, it does.
All: Lets call.

Nicole: Thats good, too.
Teacher: (Repeat after me): health care.

Single Slot Substitution Drill


Note: After the drill, the teacher will give another sentence and ask the student to replace with
an occupation in its proper place.

Donna: You dont look well. Whats wrong?
Renny: Ive got a stomachache.
Donna: Have you try a bowl of chicken porridge?
Renny: I did. But it didnt work.
Donna: Why you didnt go to the doctor?
Renny: OK. Ill go to the doctor this afternoon.

Repeat after the teacher
(Students will repeat 3 times).

(If the teacher detects an error , teacher corrects it


and ask the students to repeat it).
Divide the students become some groups.
Practice contains two students.
One student as Nica and one student as Nicole.
Ask 5- 6 students to do the conversation
Ask the students to practice the dialog in pairs.
Ask the students to practice the dialog in pairs
in front of the class.
