It is with great pleasure we welcome martial art students from all organisations, both national and inter-
national, to this summer’s great Kyokushin event, the 2010 Summer Camp. This year the summer camp
will take place in Norway’s beautiful town of Stavern, close to Larvik in Vestfold, which is centrally
placed along the E-18 highway and also in close vicinity of Larvik railway station. At this years summer
camp we are proud to present two exceptional guest instructors. As our lead instructor we are privileged
to introduce, Shihan Michael Søderqvist, 6th Dan, he will also be attending together with last year’s
World Cup Winner; Sensei Valeri Dimitrov, 3rd Dan. In addition you will also be able to meet some
of Norway’s best Kyokushin instructors. All of the planned summer camp activities will take place at
‘Fredtun Folkehøyskole”, the school will also provide on site accommodation. The School has excellent
lodging facilities with a total of 130-140 beds available for participants at this year’s event. The school
provides a large indoor gymnasium and an outdoor grassed area, swimming facilities are also available
nearby. All meals will be included in the price for the event , the first meal being on Thursday upon
arrival. In addition to traditional karate training, we are working on offering some more unusual
courses. In the true spirit of the summer camp, you may stumble across a pleasant surprise or two! You
are also welcome to bring along your family so that they too may have the pleasure of experiencing one
of Norway’s most beautiful locations – Stavern!
