Visa Conditions
-2-
If your Student (Temporary) (class TU) Vocational Education and Training Sector (subclass
572) visa application is refused and you apply for a merits review of that decision within the
required timeframe, this bridging visa will allow you to remain in Australia until 28 calendar
days after you are notified of the merits review outcome by the merits review tribunal.
If the merits review tribunal remits your application to the department for reconsideration, this
bridging visa will allow you to remain lawfully in Australia until 28 calendar days after you are
notified by the department of the decision on your Student (Temporary) (class TU) Vocational
Education and Training Sector (subclass 572) visa application.
If you withdraw your Student (Temporary) (class TU) Vocational Education and Training
Sector (subclass 572) visa application or your merits review application, this bridging visa will
allow you to remain lawfully in Australia until 28 calendar days after that withdrawal.
If you hold any substantive visa, and that substantive visa is cancelled, you should contact
the department immediately. Your Bridging visa may have ceased and no longer allow you to
remain lawfully in Australia.
More information about bridging visas is available at www.border.gov.au
Travel overseas
This Bridging visa B replaces the previous Bridging visa A or Bridging visa B granted in
association with your application for a Student (Temporary) (class TU) Vocational Education
and Training Sector (subclass 572) visa.
Your Bridging visa B allows you to leave and return to Australia on multiple occasions until
26 February 2016. You must make sure that you return to Australia before this date.
If you are in Australia after 26 February 2016, this bridging visa allows you to remain in
Australia, but not to travel overseas again, until your substantive visa application is decided.
When you are outside Australia on your Bridging visa B you are still required to provide any
information requested by the department within the prescribed timeframe. Failure to provide
requested information within the prescribed timeframe may result in a decision being made
on your Student (Temporary) (class TU) Vocational Education and Training Sector (subclass
572) visa application whilst you are outside Australia. This will have an impact on the expiry
date of your Bridging visa B.
