Guidelines for IPSF International Events


Please read carefully before completing the Application Form

1. Background
The International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF) was founded in 1949 by eight
pharmacy student associations in London. The Federation now represents approximately 350,000
pharmacy students and recent graduates in 70 countries worldwide. IPSF is the leading international
advocacy organisation for pharmacy students promoting improved public health through provision of
information, education, networking, and a range of publications and professional activities.
IPSF initiatives focus mainly on the areas of public health, pharmacy education, and
professional development. Initiatives include public health campaigns, research on issues in pharmacy
education and workforce development, the Student Exchange Programme, organising international and
regional congresses and symposia, and publication of the IPSF News Bulletin, Newsletter, and
educational supplement Phuture.
Completing this guidelines means that you have decided to embrace this opportunity and play
an active role in IPSF and Other International Events, locally, nationally, and internationally.
However, it is essential that applicants understand this opportunity is given to a student to allow him/her
promote IPSF in their home county on returning from an IPSF Events and Other International Events
not as a free holiday.
These guidelines were designed to ensure that potential applicants are fully aware of the
selection process and also accept the expectations, restrictions, and consequences of an application.

2. Completion of the Application Form


Please ensure the application form is completed accurately with any other information relevant
to the selection process being added to the form. Every section must be completed for the application
form to be considered valid. Applicants must submit an electronic version of the application form prior
to the closing date before any applications will be considered complete.
The electronic version (pdf.) should be emailed directly to the Contact Person IPSF
(wcapps.ismafarsi@gmail.com) for Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium and World Congress,
for Others International Events to (external.ismafarsi@gmail.com), and to the Student

Exchange Officer (seo_ismafarsi@yahoo.com) for Student Exchan

3. Who is involved in the APPS, WC, SEP, and Other International Events selection procedure?

3.1. The decision-making committee, who will consider valid applications, is the Secretary
General, Contact Person, and Student Exchange Officer
This committee corresponds via email and discusses issues relating to the selection process
and ways to optimize the impact of the APPS, WC, SEP, and Other International Events at local,
national, and international levels.

3.2. The applicant


Must be currently studying for their pharmacy undergraduate degree (minimum first pharmacy
degree) and must be at least at their 3rd year (6th semester) to join SEP. An applicant should be a
student of ISMAFARSI Member.
Selected or not, an applicant is expected to provide accurate information and add any additional
information that would be relevant in the consideration of the application form. If selected to be a
Delegate, a recipient is expected to:

Take an active part in activities and projects during and after the Events attended.

Deliver a presentation based on their experience in APPS, WC, SEP, or Other International
Events their University or Regional.

Produce a report addressed to the ISMAFARSI Executive detailing a review of the


experience; what has been learnt and which IPSF projects/activities are planned to be
implemented in their home county and why.
This report must be sent not less than 1 month following the Events attended.

Based on the report, recipients are required to write an article about pharmacy in their
university/regional and/or the experience gained from attending the respective Events, to be
published in the ISMAFARSI Newsletter or on the ISMAFARSI website.

Keep in regular contact with the Contact Person and/ or Student Exchange Officer after the
congress/symposia/event or SEP to maintain correspondence regarding what has been done
in their university/ regional in order to maximize the impact and benefits the experience will
provide to other pharmacy students in Indonesia.

4. Situations and Consequences


To avoid any misunderstanding of the procedure of the APPS, WC, SEP, and Other
International Events, this section has been added to dissuade any potential applicant from hiding any
relevant information or from providing incomplete or false information on their application form.
It is an applicants responsibility to inform the Contact Person and/ or Student Exchange Officer
of any changes in the information stated in the application form as soon as the applicant is aware of any
new information. It is recommended that all applicants retain a copy of their application form to
remember what has been stated in the application. If any changes of circumstances occur after
submitting the application form please inform the Contact Person and/ or Student Exchange Officer as
soon as possible.
Its compulsory to obey the following rules and it makes Contact person and/ or Student
Exchange Officer reserve absolute right to withdraw students application or cancel the application
directly in the events of any of the following situations arising:

Information relevant to the selection process was hidden from the Contact Person and/ or
Student Exchange Officer by the applicant.

Information stated by the applicant is later identified as being inaccurate or false and the
applicant failed to notify the Contact Person and/ or Student Exchange Officer about the
necessary changes required to the application.

Failure to submit the required documentation and/or receipts or submission of incomplete


documentation.

Have bad attitude before, during, and after the events attended.

Doesnt produce a report and/or an article more than 1 month following the events
attended.

Other situations at the discretion of the Contact Person and/ or Student Exchange Officer.

Contact the Committee from APPS, WC, and/or the SEO from other country without any
permission from CP or SEO of ISMAFARSI.

Doesnt pay the administration fee before departure without informing CP or SEO.

Doesnt follow the registration process of application in appropriate way.

I accept the consequences undertaken by the Contact Person and/ or Student Exchange Officer if I
fail to respect these rules.
