Hammerfest Strøm goes to the Orkneys

Norwegian technology company Hammerfest Strøm AS has received a Kr 40m


grant from the British Carbon Trust to test tidal turbines off the Orkneys. The
grant has been awarded to Hammerfest Strøm UK, and will be used to build
and test the HS1000 turbine, which is based on a prototype installed in
