5K Run/Walk and Toy Drive

Dear Business Owner/ Manager:

I am writing on behalf of the Voisinet family and Jacob’s Race. Our group is planning the 4th
annual 5K run/walk and toy drive to be held in downtown Laingsburg in honor of Jacob
Voisinet. Jacob is the son of Tim and Stacy (Brown) Voisinet and the big brother to Thomas of
St. Johns, MI. In December of 2005, Jacob was diagnosed with HLH (Hemophagocytic
Lymphohistiocytosis), a rare and life-threatening immune disorder. He underwent a bone
marrow transplant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital on September 14th, 2006. He continues to
need medical care from the team in Cincinnati, but is making significant strides towards being a
healthy young boy. He would not be where he is today without the help of people donating
blood and platelets through the American Red Cross. Therefore, we are pleased to donate
proceeds to the Red Cross as well as provide new toys and supplies to other children hospitalized
at Sparrow Hospital through their Childlife program. Last year, our event had 180 participants
and we anticipate even more this year.

Your generous donation or sponsorship would be greatly appreciated and rewarded. There are
three levels of sponsorship. We are also accepting donations of goods and services to award as
incentive prizes to our toy drive participants. We know that your business will benefit from the
community goodwill generated by your kind donation to our group. Thank you for your
