Metal is epoxy polyester powdercoated pre-treated mild steel.

Off-white colour
The colour of off-white cabinets
changed slightly on 1 December
2001 to become a true RAL 9002.

Beech is acid-catalysed lacquer

over beech veneered and solid
lipped laminboard (shelves) or
MDF (cabinets). Beech will darken
naturally when first exposed to
sunlight; it is therefore advisable
to move items on the surfaces
during the early months of use.
The fronts and backs of beech
cabinets and shelf with drawer
will be the same colour as ordered
shelves (off-white, black or silver).
Cabinet tops/bottoms/fronts, the
mounting panel and the shelf with
drawer in off-white, black or silver
are polyurethane lacquer over MDF.

Shells
The chair shells are made from
hot-pressed sheet-moulding
compound (similar but stronger
than glass-reinforced polyester).
They are polyurethane-lacquered in
either off-white (RAL 9002) or black
(RAL 9005). There may be some
minor colour variations if items are
bought at different times.

Leather
Our leather is a full-grain, chrometanned, aniline-dyed leather,
available in six colours. The
structure of the leather surface has
not been altered in any way and
nor has any surface barrier been
applied. The result is a leather that
shows its natural characteristics
scars, scratches and wrinkles and
will develop an enviable patina with
time. Importantly, the uncoated
surface is breathable, allowing the
leather to feel warm in the winter
and cool in the summer.

Leather care
Uncoated aniline-dyed leather
can be cleaned with a well-wrung
cloth to remove dust. Any spillage
should be mopped up with a clean,
absorbent cloth. Care should be
taken not to rub the spillage into
the leather. Dried stains can be
treated with dilute solution of
natural soap flakes. A good-quality
leather conditioner should be
applied occasionally to replenish
the tanning oils to prevent the
leather drying out. No other
treatment should be used.

Leather colour
Leather is a natural product. Some
colour variation from batch to batch
should be expected. Exposure to
sunlight and/or oils from skin and/or
leather conditioner can result in the
leather changing colour over time.

Materials
The black table is injection-moulded
in a black plastic comprising 80%
recycled post-consumer waste and
20% virgin material. The off-white
table is produced in the same way
but with 100% virgin material; the
quest for a recycled white material
continues.
The adjustable feet are made
from black ABS over-moulded on a
stainless steel machine screw.

Surface
Hand-painted in a textured
polyurethane finish.
Care and repair
The table can be cleaned with a
damp cloth. The use of abrasive
cleaners should be avoided.
