 Mission Offerings – A mission envelope was sent home today and may be
brought back anytime this week.

 Spelling Words – Spelling words for unit 29 were sent home today.

 Tests – On Thursday we will have a test on the novel Maniac Magee.

Our math test will be on Friday. The practice test will be given out on
Wednesday.

 Practice Track Meet – Practice Track Meet – Tomorrow, April 20th, is the
practice track meet at Cahalan Park! Please be sure that your child has a
sack lunch for this day and that his/her name is written on the outside of
the bag. Also, please make sure that your child’s lunch contains nutritious
foods since he/she will be running and participating in other physical
activities. Your child must have a water bottle or two to take along! We will
take a 15-20 minute lunch break around noon; however, the students will be
permitted to eat throughout the meet when they are feeling hungry. We will
be leaving campus at 10:45 and will return about 2:55.

There is rain in the forecast for tomorrow. A decision will not be able to be
made until tomorrow morning. If it is cancelled, we will publish the
information for you as soon as possible.

 Collaboration Day - This Friday, April 23rd, classes will dismiss at noon due
to a collaboration day for the teachers.

 Field Trip – Next Monday is our field trip to the Fujitsu Planetarium at De
Anza College. We will be leaving school at 10:30 AM and will return at 2:45
PM.

Those of you that signed up to drive, please meet outside our classroom at
10:25. Some of you may be passengers rather than drivers.

Please be sure that your child’s lunch is fairly easy to eat since we will be
taking lunch with us and eating there. Also, make sure your child has a
jacket or sweatshirt. If your child would like to purchase any souvenirs,
he/she is responsible for carrying his/her own money.

 Disney “Oceans” Movie – Next Tuesday, April 26th we will be going to the
Disney movie, “Oceans,” at the Camera 7 Theater at the Pruneyard. A
permission form was sent home today and must be brought back by this
Thursday, April 22nd. The students will be permitted to purchase only
popcorn and/or soda (no candy) from the concession; however, they are
responsible for carrying their own money. All concessions must be
purchased before the movie begins!

I know it’s not ideal that we’re going on field trips back-to-back days, but it
just so happened that this is how it worked out. Thank you for
understanding!

 Sacramento Track Meet – Information about the track meet was sent home
last week. The sign-up form along with the $8 is due this Friday, April 23 rd!
