INTRODUCTION

Environmental degradation is the deterioration of the environment through

depletion of resources such as air, water and soil; the destruction of
ecosystems and the extinction of wildlife. It is defined as any change or
disturbance to the environment perceived to be deleterious or undesirable.

Environmental degradation is of many types. When natural habitats are

destroyed or natural resources are depleted, the environment is degraded.

Efforts to counteract this problem include environmental protection and

environmental resources management.

We are given the opportunity to create new product which is related to the
engineering field and daily life using any waste materials. The intended use
of the waste materials is to reduce the pollution to use for the next
generation.

HOW TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM:

-Growing, but ineffectiveness because take hundreds of year to break plastic

-Dumped at dumping site but will produce poison and gas emission to
atmosphere which caused global warming.
-Burned, very harmful to environment when burned because
will produce poison that is dangerous to population of an area
-Thrown into sea, will caused water pollution and marine life
Therefore, one way of solution to solve this problem
is by adopting 4R, reduce, reuse, recycle, recreate, which
would will giving benefit to environment and society.

CONCEPT

Our project concept is to use plastic bottles in some construction. We create

useful products and sustainable jobs from waste plastic bottles. We are
developing some solution to this problem.

The process begin by cutting the tops and bottoms of the bottle. The cylinder
plastic is slight longitudinally to form a rectangular portion of plastic. It then
flattened into rectangular sheet. The sheet then nailed on wood to make a
fence.

Also, the sheet can be cut into strip and then fused together to create longer
ribbon of the plastic. This long ribbon will be used to make plastic patch roofing
and other construction products. Unlike traditional recycling the processes left
energy-intensive and can be done almost anywhere.

The plastic bottle strips could also have useful applications in the industrialized
world, such as roof and wall. And fortunately, planet earth has plenty
of discarded bottles for everyone.

CONCLUSION
The real problem is that plastic is seen as waste. By doing this activity, it can save
money by producing or innovation product, prevent disease and contribute to
reducing waste materials so that it can reduce pollution on earth. Therefore, one
way of solution to solve this problem is by adopting 4R, reduce, reuse, recycle,
recreate, which would will giving benefit to environment and society.
