A Pepco project to install an underground feeder along upper Wisconsin Avenue NW has slammed

DEVELOPMENT
Developer JBG has announced a long-term plan to demolish the Washington Marriott Wardman Park
hotel to build 500,000 square feet of residential units within two new buildings at the expansive
Wardman Park complex in Woodley Park, along with commercial space and a new park. (Northwest

The former YMCA center in Dupont Circle will be renovated into a modern office building, and the

POLITICS
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio edged Ohio Gov. John Kasich to win the D.C. Republican primary on
Saturday after residents waited for up to two hours to vote at a downtown hotel, just a few days before

OPINION (all editions)
Editorial: The D.C. Council shouldn't rush through Mayor Muriel Bowser's shelter plan, but if council
members are uncomfortable with a site, they have a responsibility to approve an alternative that
accomplishes the same goals at a similar cost.
Editorial: All District voters should get the same opportunity as the city's Republicans to participate in
federal primary elections while their votes can still matter, but unfortunately Democrats will have to
wait until June.
Sherwood: The lottery winner is...the D.C. Lottery, according to an audit that ranked it among the
best-run nationwide.
SPORTS (Northwest Current, Georgetown Current)
After struggling last year, National Cathedral softball is hopeful that its returning players have
developed enough to bring an ISL title run.
Maret boys lacrosse was interested in starting the 2016 season with a bang after last year's painful
playoff loss, and the Frogs delivered on Saturday by walloping Wilson 15-3.
Visitation lacrosse got revenge on St. John's for beating the team last year, winning 16-1 in the D.C.
Classic on Saturday.
