Consider, making #TheRippleEffect Benefit Concert your first tax deductible

donations of 2016!
#TheRippleEffect Benefit Concert, is a dance project developed by a young
choreographer and an aspiring creative director, Latrice Postell, to ignite awareness
through the arts as it did in her life. Latrice Postell was a shy kid living in a single
parent household, in lower middle class of North East, Washington DC. Her mom
looking for any opportunities to build self-confidence and to keep Latrice away from
street violence, enrolled her into a summer dance program that will forever shape
her life and future.
I am Latrice Postell and I started my dance career at North East Performing Arts
Outreach Youth Center. Northeast Performing Arts Group ("NEPAG"), is an awardwinning, culturally based arts and education program whose mission is "to develop
and foster the creative talents of at-risk inner city youth in the Northeast/Southeast
corridors of Washington, DC through performing and visual arts, as an alternative to
street life and to teach them the invaluable lessons of discipline, commitment and
team motivation". Ms. Rita Jackson, was the Founder/ Director of the outreach
program.
Ms. Rita Jackson, affectionately known as Nana developed 6,000+ youth over the
35 years she founded North East Performing Arts Outreach Youth Center and
awarded scholarships to 400 kids to enroll into college. I being a direct recipient of
this scholarship, wouldnt have graduated with a B.S in Management Information
Systems from Delaware State University. Ms. Rita Jackson single handedly nurtured
my confidence and self-worth as young African American woman while bringing in
dynamic choreographers to train me in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and African dance.
Most importantly she instilled a responsibility to give back to the community, by
establishing a platform and using a motto each one teach one.
Ms. Rita Jackson, a pillar in Washington DC, took her final bow on January 8, 2016.
Her untimely passing, pushed me to develop my FIRST project, #TheRippleEffect
Benefit Concert, to raise money to keep North East Performing Arts Outreach Youth
Center open. This program is imperative to keep open because its been
transforming untrained inner city youth, lives and introducing them to all forms of
the performing arts that they will not have access to because the lack of finances.
The young people who have benefited from this program has excelled and
developed into teachers, lawyers, architects and professional performing artists
working in arenas across the United States. #TheRippleEffect Benefit Concert is to
pay homage to one woman who made such a difference in my life and so many
others by her advocacy to cultivate kids to reach their highest potential.
#TheRippleEffect Benefit Concert is going to tackle tough topics that youth in this
generation face every day living in the inner city. #TheRippleEffect Benefit Concert
wants provoke conversation through movement and bring awareness that being a
product of your environment doesnt have to have a negative connotation. That
one kind act in your community can have ripples effects on multiple people lives.

The proceeds will specifically go to keeping children enrolled in NEPAG program and
restoring the furnace in our facility. I am producing many other fundraising events
in hopes to meet my goal. I am now 26 years old, living in Los Angeles California as
a professional dancer. I feel the responsibility to develop #TheRippleEffect Benefit
Concert to help others kids have the opportunity to see pass their circumstances
and dare to dream, like I was encouraged to do! With your help, you can fuel the
passion of so many kids while being entertained at the first #TheRippleEffect
Benefit Concert come December!
