The natural focusing of the undulator field cannot provide the required
strength for optimum focusing. Strong focusing is added.
Saturation has been observed after a change in the beam optics. Running
off-crest in the linac the 20º dispersive section acts as a bunch compressor.
In addition an aperture limit causes parts of the bunch to be scraped,
depending on the linac phase.
