Crude prices have rebounded 50 percent since


February. At the same time, since the beginning of
February the US Commodity Futures Trading
Commission (CFTC) has seen the biggest liquidation
of short positions on record.

A record-breaking $215 billion was spent by Chinese

Russian Economy Minister Aleksey Ulyukayev said


Monday he had discussed possible participation of
US banks in Russias privatization with US
Ambassador to Moscow John Tefft, Reuters reported.
Energy firm Tatneftegaz has offered to lease the
entire state-owned stake (75.08 percent plus one
share) in mid-sized oil producer Bashneft for 10
years, Vedomosti daily reported on Monday.
Ulyukayev confirmed the request from Tatneftegaz,
without giving further detail.
