CAREERS CENTRAL
Careers Central offers a range of free services, programs and
resources to help you establish career goals and develop skills
that make you employableand competitive in the job market.
Our focus is on helping you build a sustainable career. We can
help you to acquire knowledge, concepts, skills and attitudes
which will equip you for a successful transition to employment
but also for effective management of your career thereafter
so you can easily adapt to labour market developments and be
realistic about labour market opportunities. Visit us on campus

LEARNING DEVELOPMENT
Learning Development offers academic study, writing
and maths support to all students. Come and see us for
an individual appointment, register online for one of our
workshops, or access our online learning resources.
LIBRARY
The Library is a great place to study, whether you need
somewhere quiet to focus on your personal research or space
to work as a group. We provide over 400 computers, printing
and copying services, hundreds of powered study spaces and
wireless network support. You can access information and
research content from our own expansive online and print
collections, as well as millions of titles and publications held
in libraries world-wide. If you need assistance talk to us and
be guaranteed of great support and advice either online, in
person or by phone. The library is an integral part of your UOW
experience!
PASS
Whether you are a top performer or could use some improvement, you will benefit from the skills and understanding gained
from attending PASS. Think Super Group learning! PASS
sessions are facilitated by senior students who have excelled in
their subjects. Many students each year find the new demands
of tertiary study challenging, and PASS has a strong record of
helping students to succeed. In 2013, students who attended
PASS regularly achieved 11 marks better on average than nonattending students. Students who did not attend PASS were
5 times more likely to fail. Attending PASS is also a great way
to network with other students studying the same subjects. To

STUDENT LIFE
The best way for students to meet other students is to get
involved in campus activities. UOW Student Life works with all of
the other areas on campus to deliver activities where students
can make these connections. Some activities include:

UNICENTRE
Whilst Uni is focused around your studies, Uni life encompasses
so much more than lectures. Enter UniCentre. UniCentres aim
is to create services, spaces and activities that enhance the
University experience. We offer entertainment, activities, retail,
student engagement, services, social student spaces, food
courts, shops, study areas, meeting rooms, Wii/X-box facilities,
outdoor sports and much more. Our activities and facilities bring
the diverse University population together, ensuring your years
spent at UOW are enjoyable and memorable. Get involved at
UOW through UniCentre, join one of the 100+ clubs, develop
your leadership skills and make the most of the time spent

UOW SECURITY
The Security team is available 24 hours a day seven days a
week in Wollongong. The Security teams primary role is the
protection of people and property. Students should report any
incidents to the security team or contact the team after dark for
a safety escort. Download and register our free SAFEZONE app.
to easily make contact, request assistance or urgent help from
the Security team. More about SAFEZONE. Security is located
at B116 in Northfields Avenue - phone 4221 4555 or report
emergencies on 4221 4900.
UOW WELLBEING
UOW Wellbeing helps students to maintain a healthy, balanced
life and to keep on track. The Wellbeing Centre is a place to
come and take some time out - from busting stress on the massage chair to chilling out with a magazine. The Centre is also our
meeting place for activities that we run weekly to help you keep
on top of your stress, like yoga, meditation, and tai chi. We also
run events and workshops throughout session to help you boost
different areas of your wellbeing - so look out for the purple tent
on campus! And if you need some kind of support but not sure
who at UOW can help, feel free to drop into the centre to ask our
friendly staff, they can point you in the right direction! Were here

URAC
The University of Wollongong Recreation & Aquatic Centre
(URAC) provides the campus community with top-class fitness
and sporting facilities. Whether you want to shoot some hoops,
play squash or tennis, take a dip in the pool or work out at
the gym, URAC has you covered. There is an extensive range
of sporting, group exercise and specialty fitness programs
available and UOW Students receive great discounts! Visit the
