uring the TCS Scholastic Monster Book Fair held

March 14th to 18th students were able to participate in a few exciting contests to win prizes. One of the
most unique contests was called the Monster Mash-Up
Matching Game allowing student to match the teacher
to their morphed photo. There were four winners in this
game, two winners received merchandise from the fair
and the other two winners would have the pleasure of
dumping buckets of Monster Slime on the Principal,
Mr. Sheppard and the Vice-Principal Mr. Rapsky if the
Book Fair raised its intended goal of $5,000. Fortunately for winners Cole Cibula and Parker Pinette, the Book
Fair surpassed that goal and brought in a grand total of
$5,950!
A week later, the well fermented Monster Slime
was ready to be used. On Wednesday, March 23rd all
the TCS students swarmed the gymnasium to witness
the public sliming. At 3 p.m., Mr. Sheppard and Mr.
Rapsky were ushered through the chanting crowd of excited students to bravely face their sticky fate. Cole and
Parker dumped their buckets of green monster goop
simultaneously covering their victims with the sticky
slime.
After the ordeal, Th e Tribune attempted to speak
with the slimed victims but their faces were covered in
the sticky slime rendering them unable to communicate. A few hours later they recovered and we were able
to get their comments. The sliming was a lot of fun,
but getting it off proved to be a challenge! It took three
showers to get all the green goop off, commented Mr.
Sheppard. The event was amazing, the kids couldnt
have had more deserved fun, Mr. Rapsky said The
slime was ok until you tried to get it out of your hair. Mr.
Sheppard added, the book sale is an excellent fundraiser, and all the better that it encourages literacy.
Special mention needs to be made of the parents
who volunteered the week of the book fair in order to
sell and order books for the students. Nathalie LeMoing, Parent Advisory Council Treasurer, organized one
of the most successful book fairs ever and thanked Mr.
Sheppard and Mr. Rapsky for their co-operation, the
Tanners Crossing administration has always been very
supportive of any incentive to reach our goal, which can
often be messy or silly!

entire student body as a reward for the students surpassing the
recent book fair fundraising goal by almost $1,000.
