Brochure
Description: Brochure created for an imaginary company. Advertising
their business model.
Programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Date: 3.18.16
Course: COMM130
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives:
Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page.
write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how it
appeals to a target audience.
Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file.
Process:
I first used photoshop to crop and edit my images. Once the images were
ready I moved on to Illustrator where I created the logo. I typed out the
text in Microsoft Word. I finally used InDesign to arange all of the content
and create the layout.

Montage
Description:
A montage created my blending two images together and including
typography.
Programs: Photoshop
Date: 2.11.16
Course: COMM130
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives:
Learn to manage Photoshop layers.
Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks.
Use filters.
Apply appropriate typography.
Process:
I selected two appropriate images and used the masking tool in Photoshop
to blend them. I then used the text tool to insert and style the typography.

Imaging
Description: An imaginary ad created with a personally taken
photograph that has been edited using photoshop.
Programs: Photoshop

Objectives:
Learn basic Photography skills.
Use a digital camera to take a quality image, then download it.
Size and crop the image.
Adjust image brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation levels.
use a selection tool to isolate a portion of the image.
Desaturate the selected potion of the image.
Use a filter or colorize a portion of the image.
Process:
After physically taking the photograph of the cows, I edited the image
appropriatly using various adjustment and coloring filters. I then used the
text tool to insert the typography.

Event Ad
Description: A full-bleed event ad t promote a fundraiser using only
Microsoft Word and a scanner.
Programs: Microsoft Word

Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives:
Find, scan and import a high-quality image.
Create a full-bleed design
Use text boxes for a layout in Word.
Insert and edit images in Word.
Process:
I found an image in a local magazine. I used my old fax machine and
printer to crop and scan the image. I then used Microsoft Word to insert
and arange the image, text, and colored boxes.

Description: Three logo variations for the same company.
Programs: Illustrator

Objectives:
Create a variety of logos to fit a company or personal image.
Use the basic tools of Illustrator.
Process:
I used Illustrator to create multiple thumbnails for a particular logo. I then
sent out a survey to recieve a large amount of feedback about each logo.
I then chose the logo with the highest reviews to continue developing. I
used the critique I recieved to enhance one logo and then used the tools in
Illustrator to create a few different variations.

Flier
Description: Black & White promotional flier to promote a graduate
leadership conference.
Programs: InDesign
Date: 1.19.16
Course: COMM130
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Objectives:
Apply the design Principles and use appropriate typography.
Incorporate basic InDesign Skills to improve basic flier layout.
Create a project folder with image, logo, and Indesign document to keep
links intact.
Process:
I used InDesign to arrange the images and boxes to create a an organized
grid for all of the content. I then used the text tool to arrange the
typography. This was the very first project we did in this class so we our
utilized the critique system with our peers. This helped kickstart our
creativity and got out imaginations rolling.
