Rules of Discipline Committee w.e.f.

Aug 10, 2015

GUIDELINES

Attendance will be taken exactly at the reporting time. A list of absentees will be
announced just after the roll call, wherein you can inform about your presence, in
case, if you have come during the attendance.

After the roll call, and before the arrival of the guest, you will be considered as a

late comer. It also becomes your duty to inform about your arrival to the
discipline committee.

After the arrival of the guest at the venue, you are not allowed to enter inside.

No individual is allowed to move in or out during the session.

The dress code needs to be followed strictly which will be decided by the
organizing committee.

Talking, reading (newspaper/ magazine/ novel), eating, sleeping, usage of any


gadget (mobile, laptop, tablet, etc) or creating any kind of disturbance during the
session is strictly prohibited.

Tentative List of Penalties will be issued after every event within 3 working days
of the completion of the event. And it will be amended accordingly in case any

Discipline Committee will be responsible only for moderating the session for

EXEMPTIONS

A person will be given exemption only for attendance on medical grounds or any
other genuine reason, the valid proof for which needs to be approved from the
course coordinator and discipline committee convener within 5 working days of
the notification of tentative fine list.

The use of mobile phone and moving in-out during the session will be allowed
only to the organizing committee.

Only one member of committees other than the organizing committee can take
exemption from attending the event for which a prior intimation needs to be given
to the discipline committee and the organizing committee via e-mail which should
specify the name of the person and the reason for his/ her absence.

DRESS CODE
Winter Formals

Boys:o Plain Jet Black Business Suit [Coat (no metal buttons) and Trousers]
o Full sleeved formal shirt [Plain only preferably White/ Blue/ Gray. Bright
colors should be avoided]
o Black formal shoes and Black socks [Plain]
o Clean-shaven/ neatly trimmed moustache
o Hair neatly done
o Black, Blue or Red Family necktie [whichever suitable] and Black Belt
o A plain black V-neck sweater (if required) but no high necks, round necks
or turtle neck sweater.

Smart Casuals

Boys:o Plain colored t-shirts, jeans


o Sneakers/ shoes
o Clean-shaven/ neatly trimmed moustache
o Hair neatly done
o No sweat-shirts, sandals, slippers
Girls:o Plain colored t-shirts, jeans/ Indian Suits/ Kurti with/without Stoll
o Sneakers/ shoes/ sandals/ bellies. Also, please ensure that your shoes don't
make any noise while walking.
o Hair neatly done
o No sweat-shirts, danglers, floaters, slippers, stilettos

PENALTIES
The penalty on non-adherence to any of the disciplinary rules will be in the
following manner: the mistakes will be categorized into 3 levels: Level A, B and C.

the count of your mistakes will be kept from the first day of your entry into
MHROD (i.e. the induction) till the last day of your fourth semester final
examinations.

3 level-C mistakes will be equal to 1 level-B mistake.

3 level-B mistakes will be equal to 1 level-A mistake.

You are allowed to have 2 level-A mistakes. The day the count of your level-A
mistake becomes 3, you will be banned from the first company coming in campus
for summer placements (for junior batch) and final placements (for senior batch).
4 level-A mistake will lead to ban from first two companies, 5 level-A mistake
means ban from three companies, and so on.

For Alumni dinner, Conflux, and any other event apart from the ones mentioned
above, the level of penalties will be notified to you prior to the event.

Any changes in this rule book pertaining to any particular event will be informed
before the event and it will be binding.

AMENDMENTS
Any amendment in the discipline rule book can take place only after the consent of all of
the following:1. the office bearers of SPHERE (president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary)
2. conveners of all the committees
