Chapter 1

PROJECT BACKGROUND AND HISTORY


This chapter presents the Introduction, Project Proponents, Name of the Project,
Type of Business Organization, and Location of the Project and Objectives of the
Project.
Introduction
In many parts of the world, candles provide the main source of light, other than
daylight. They have a number of advantages in that they are relatively cheap, selfcontained and portable and can thus be used when or where other kinds of lighting are
unavailable.
Project Proponent
The proponent of this project is Marimar M. Deluna student of the University of
Rizal System located at Morong, Rizal.
Name of the Project
The proponent would like to call his new business entity as De Luna's Candle.
The business was named De Lunas after the surname of the owner.

Mission:
To produce high quality and creatively designed candles.
To develop strong marketing network, specifically in CALABARZON and all throughout the major cities nationwide.
To develop brand loyalty among consumers.

Vision
To become the Number One Manufacturer of Premium Candles in the Philippines.
Types of Business Organization
The organization type of the organization is sole proprietorship. It is owned and
run by one natural person and in which there is no legal distinction between the owner
and the business.
Location of the Project

Objective of the Project


The main objective of the owner is to put into practice what he has learned
from his subject in such a way that it can be done by doing a feasibility study. By doing
so, the proponent would know how to establish his own business venture. Second only
is to gain profits. Lastly, is to expand the business.

CHAPTER 2
MANAGEMENT AND PERSONNEL FEASIBILITY
Personnel
The proponent will stand as the owner or proprietor of this new business
venture and will be the sole manager of this De Lunas Cadles. He will be helped by four
Workers who will give assistance and provide the necessary service to the customers
who would like to have in his/her vehicle be cleaned and washed.

The management proposals are very important in the business because this is
composed of the company rules and regulations and policies that the employees need
to have an effective operations in the business.

Rules and Regulations


1. Make sure that the equipment and utensils are clean before and after use.
2. Wear the uniform given by the owner when working.
3. Safety first in performing the task.
Administrative Policies
Behavior
Companies set administrative policies for how employees are expected to
behave at work. Employees must treat each other with respect. If a disagreement
arises, the employees involved often sit down with their managers to discuss both
perspectives and work out an agreement. Physical or verbal abuse of other employees
is not tolerated at work. Also, many companies have sexual harassment policies in
place, prohibiting employees from making comments or taking actions of a sexual
nature.

Marketing Feasibility
Market description
Manufacturer surveys show that 90% of all candles are purchased by women.
Consumers are increasingly purchasing candles as a focal point for their home dcor,
and for aromatherapy-like relaxation and stress reduction. Fragrance is by far the most
important characteristic impacting candle purchases today, with three-fourths of candle
buyers saying it is extremely important" or "very important" in their selection of a
candle. Nine out of ten candle users say they use candles to make a room feel
comfortable or cozy. Candle users say they most frequently burn candles in the living
room (42%), followed by the kitchen (18%) and the bedroom (13%). Approximately one
in five women say they use candles to decorate the yard, patio or other exterior areas,
as well as the interior of their home.

Demand

De Lunas Candle has great demand because it the only unique business in the
site.

Supply
One major factor that will affect this business is technology. Our technology is
moving too fast that light and other substitutes for it are can be easily produced by the
use of chips, machinery, and other technology-related materials.

Demand Supply Analysis

The demand for the pizza has increased because their still a lot of candle users
is the place.
Proposed Marketing Program
Candles come in an endless variety of sizes and shapes, from tapers, votives,
pillars and tea lights to container/jar candles, floating candles, liturgical candles, outdoor
candles, novelty candles, utility candles and birthday candles.

PRODUCT

Candle is a solid block of wax with an embedded wick which is ignited to provide
light, and sometimes heat. Candles have many new shapes, sizes, colors and scents.
