G.S.R. 336.—In exercise of tlie powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of Section 27 of the
Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement—(l)TheserulesmaybecallcdtlieRightlo Information (Regulation ofFee and
Cost) Rules, 2005.
(2) They shall come into force on the dale of their publication in the Official Gazelle.
2. Definitions—In the rules, unless the context otherwise requires,—
(a) 'Act'means tlie Right to Information Act,'2005;
(b) 'section'means section of the Act;
(c) all otlier words and expressions used herein but not defined and defined in the Act sliall have the meanings
assigned to them in the Act. , V
3. A request for obtaiiiinginformation under sub-section (1) of Section 6 shall be accompanied by an application
fee.of rupees ten "by way of cash against proper receipt or by demand draft Or bankers cheque payable \v the Accounts
Officer of the public authority.
A. for providing tlie information under sub-section (1) of Section 7, the fee shall be charged by way of cash
against proper receipt or by demand draft or bankers cheque payable to tlie Accounts Officer of the public authority at the
following rates:—
(a) rupees two for each page (in. A-4 or A-3 size paper) created or copied;
(b) actual charge or cost price of a copy in larger size paper;
(c) actual cost or price for samples or models; and
(d) for inspection of records, no fee for the first hour; and a fee of mjwes Jive for each fificcn minutes (or fracl ion
thereof) thereafter.
5. For providing tlie information under sub-section (5) of Section 7. the fee shall be charged by way of cash
against proper receipt or by demand draft or bankers, cheque payable to the Accounts Officer of the public authority at the
following rates :— .
(a) for information provided in diskette or floppy rupeesfiftyper diskette or floppy; and
i (b) for information provided in printed form al the pricefixedfor such publication or nipees 1 wo per page oi
photocopy for extracts from tlie publication.

< G.S.R. 649(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and^c) of Sub-section (2) "of Section 27
of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend
the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee and Cost) Rules, 2005, namely :—
1. Short title and commencement— (1) These rules may be called the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee
and Cost) (Amendment) Rules, 2005.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee and Cost) Rules, 2005, in rule 4, for clause (d), the following
clause shall be substituted, namely :—
"(d) for inspection of records, no fee for the first hour; and a fee of rupees five for each subsequent
hour (or fraction thereof)."

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th March, 2008
G.S.R. 235(E).—In exercise ofme powers conferred
by sub-section (2) of Section 24 of the Right to Information
Act, 2005 (22 of 2005), the Central Government hereby
makes the following further amendments in the Second
Schedule to the said Act, namely:—
In the Second Schedule to the Right to Information
Act, 2005:—
(i) for serial number 16 and the entries relating
thereto, the following shall be substituted,
namely:—
"16. Directorate General of Income-tax
(Investigation).";
(ii) for serial number 17 and the entries relating
thereto, the following shall be substituted,
namely:—
"17. National Technical Research Orga-
nisation.";
(iii) for serial number 18 and the entries relating
thereto, the following shall be substituted,
namely:—
"18. Financial Intelligence Unit, India."; and
(iv) Serial number 22 and the entry relating
thereto shall be omitted.
