Patricia Hosford has been made an Officer of the Or-

turoto for 17 years, and has made an enormous con-
tribution to our station. She was the station manager
from 2002 until 2007, and dedicates many, many vol-
unteer hours in her roll as an ambulance officer. She
was made a Serving Sister in 2004, and this latest
award promotes her to Officer. Pat comes from a

mother Maude has also been very involved with
Maungaturoto Station. She joined the subcommittee
in 1979 and became treasurer of the Otamatea Area
Committee in 1982. Until her retirement last year,
she had been the area committee Chairperson for 25
years. Maude is also an Officer Sister, and is now
the Patron of Maungaturoto Station. Pats husband
Colin was a member of the Otamatea Area Commit-
tee. Thank you Colin – it would be very difficult for
Pat to be such a wonderful volunteer without the sup-
port of her husband and family.
