Our invention relates to Diesel engines, espe
cially in motor driven vehicles, which are pro
vided with a charging device. Usually such de
vice'includes a turbine driven by means of the
exhaust gases from the cylinders of the main

, tremely strong and also strengthened by ribs l3.

They have feet portions l4 resting on top of the

engine casing II. The charging device I! at its
left hand turbine end at I1 is mounted directly
on the conduit portions i2a which may be formed

integral, and such mounting i1 will have ports

engine. The gases are fed to the device through
therethrough for conducting exhaust gases from
a conduit of pipes.

Normally the charging device is mounted on

block. The intake pipes of the turbine have to be 10 end of the conduit portions iZa a special support

rests. The wall of this rib support is made ex
