Nationals 2B Daniel Murphy went 2-for-4 with a double on Tuesday night to push his hitting
streak to 11 games, the longest active streak in the National League... Murphy has reached
base safely in 26 of his 52 plate appearances this season with 19 hits (4 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR), eight
RBI and seven walks...He has hit safely in 12 of the 13 games the Nationals have played.
Murphy leads the Major Leagues with a .422 batting average, is tied for second with a .500

RHP Stephen Strasburg continued his strong start to the season with 8.0 shutout innings
