My name is Stefan Boas.

I'm a senior undergraduate student at the University of Vermont, graduating

May of 2012 with a B.A. degree in Biology and an Italian and Chemistry double minor. I have a passion
for medicine as well as culture and language, and I'm hoping to go to medical school after I graduate.

My name is Leah Cipri. I graduated from UVM in 2009 with a B.A. in History and Chinese language, and
I'm currently in the post-baccalaureate premedical program at UVM, hoping to enter medical school in
2013.

My name is Alysha Desrosiers. I am a junior undergraduate at UVM with a double major in

Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and a minor in Anthropology. I am really interested in global
health and hope to attend medical school after I graduate.

My name is Travis Mann-Gow, and I am a senior undergraduate student at the University of Vermont,
graduating in May of 2012 with a B.S. in Psychology. In addition to working with the ED Research
Program, I am also involved in research with the department of Surgical Urology. My goal is to apply to
medical school once I graduate. In my free time I enjoy cycling, telemark skiing, and working outside.

My name is Nicole Ovregaard and I am currently in my junior year at University of Vermont. I will
graduate in 2013 with a B.A in Biology and a double minor in Studio Art and Chemistry. My inspiration
to pursue a career in medicine was sparked through experiences such as my time spent with Hunter
Patch Adams M.D. doing humanitarian work in clinical settings in Guatemala. I plan to focus my
education and career on rural/underserved populations and global health.

My name is Emily Pattison. I'm a senior undergraduate student at the University of Vermont, graduating
May of 2012 with a B.S. in Athletic Training. I have a passion for triathlons, personal health and fitness,
along with emergency medicine. I am hoping to work in a physical therapy clinic after I graduate in
addition to working with a local area high school as an athletic trainer

My name is Ali Sadeghi and I am from Wilton, Connecticut. As a third-year honors student majoring in
anthropology and environmental sciences at the University of Vermont, I plan on attending medical
school after graduating in the spring of 2013.

My name is Mike Shaw. I am a senior biology major, am looking to go to medical or PA school, and
currently work as an EMT with Essex Rescue.

My name is Abby Wager. I am a senior undergraduate student at the University of Vermont from
Seattle, Washington. I will be graduating in May of 2012 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. I am currently
working on starting a national tobacco cessation study through the ED Research program. In addition to
medical research, I enjoy spending time outside with my dog, Lucy.
