Friends Episode 1, Season 1

[Scene: Central Perk, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and Monica are there.]
Monica: There's nothing to tell! He's just some guy I work with!
Joey: C'mon, you're going out with the guy! There's gotta be something wrong with him!
Chandler: All right Joey, be nice. So does he have a hump? A hump and a hairpiece?
Monica: Okay, everybody relax. This is not even a date. It's just two people going out to
dinner and- not having sex.
Chandler: Sounds like a date to me.
[Time Lapse]
Chandler: Alright, so I'm back in high school, I'm standing in the middle of the cafeteria,
and I realize I am totally naked.
All: Oh, yeah. Had that dream.
Chandler: Then I look down, and I realize there's a phone... there.
Joey: Instead of...?
Chandler: That's right.
Joey: Never had that dream.

Chandler: All of a sudden, the phone starts to ring. Now I don't know what to do,
everybody starts looking at me.
Monica: And they weren't looking at you before?!
Chandler: Finally, I figure I'd better answer it, and it turns out it's my mother, which is
very-very weird, because- she never calls me!
[Time Lapse, Ross has entered.]
Ross: (mortified) Hi.
Joey: This guy says hello, I wanna kill myself.
Monica: Are you okay, sweetie?
Ross: I just feel like someone reached down my throat, grabbed my small intestine, pulled
it out of my mouth and tied it around my neck...
Chandler: Cookie?
Monica: (explaining to the others) Carol moved her stuff out today.
Joey: Ohh.
Monica: (to Ross) Let me get you some coffee.
Ross: Thanks.
Ross: I'll be fine, alright? Really, everyone. I hope she'll be very happy.
Monica: No you don't.
Ross: No I don't, to hell with her, she left me!
Joey: And you never knew she was a lesbian...
Ross: No!! Okay?! Why does everyone keep fixating on that? She didn't know, how should
I know?
Chandler: Sometimes I wish I was a lesbian... (They all stare at him.) Did I say that out
loud?

Ross: I told mom and dad last night, they seemed to take it pretty well.
Monica: Oh really, so that hysterical phone call I got from a woman at sobbing 3:00 A.M.,
"I'll never have grandchildren, I'll never have grandchildren." was what? A wrong number?
Ross: Sorry.
Joey: Alright Ross, look. You're feeling a lot of pain right now. You're angry. You're
hurting. Can I tell you what the answer is?
(Ross gestures his consent.)
Joey: Strip joint! C'mon, you're single! Have some hormones!
Ross: I don't want to be single, okay? I just... I just- I just wanna be married again!
(Rachel enters in a wet wedding dress and starts to search the room.)
Chandler: And I just want a million dollars! (He extends his hand hopefully.)
Monica: Rachel?!
Rachel: Oh God Monica hi! Thank God! I just went to your building and you weren't there
and then this guy with a big hammer said you might be here and you are, you are!
Monica: take a coffee (Monica to Rachel).
Monica: (pointing at Rachel) De-caff. (to All) Okay, everybody, this is Rachel, another
Lincoln High survivor. (to Rachel) This is everybody, this is Chandler, and Phoebe, and
Joey, and- you remember my brother Ross?
Rachel: Hi, sure!
Ross: Hi.
(They go to hug but Ross's umbrella opens. He sits back down defeated again. A moment
of silence follows as Rachel sits and the others expect her to explain.)
Monica: So you wanna tell us now, or are we waiting for four wet bridesmaids?
Rachel: Oh God... well, it started about a half hour before the wedding. I was in the room
where we were keeping all the presents, and I was looking at this gravy boat. This really
gorgeous Lamauge gravy boat. When all of a sudden- (to the waitress that brought her

coffee)Sweet 'n' Lo?- I realized that I was more turned on by this gravy boat than by Barry!
And then I got really freaked out, and that's when it hit me: how much Barry looks like Mr.
Potato Head. Y'know, I mean, I always knew looked familiar, but... Anyway, I just had to
get out of there, and I started wondering 'Why am I doing this, and who am I doing this
for?'. (to Monica) So anyway I just didn't know where to go, and I know that you and I
have kinda drifted apart, but you're the only person I knew who lived here in the city.
Monica: Who wasn't invited to the wedding?
Rachel: Ooh, I was kinda hoping that wouldn't be an issue...

Friends Capitulo 1 Temporada 1

[Escena: Central Perk, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe y Monica estn all.]
Mnica: No hay nada que contar! No es ms que un tipo que trabajo!
Joey: Vamos, que vas a salir con el chico! Tiene que haber algo mal con l!
Chandler: Joey derecho, se agradable. As que l tiene una joroba? Una joroba y una
peluca?
Mnica: Muy bien, todo el mundo se relaje. Esto no es ni siquiera una fecha. Es slo dos
personas salir a cenar y- no tener relaciones sexuales.
Chandler: Suena como una fecha para m.
[Lapso de tiempo]
Chandler: Muy bien, as que estoy de vuelta en la escuela secundaria, yo estoy de pie en
medio de la cafetera, y me doy cuenta que estoy totalmente desnudo.
Todos: Oh, s. Tenido ese sueo.
Chandler: Entonces me mire y me doy cuenta de que hay un telfono ... all.
Joey: En lugar de ...?
Chandler: Eso es correcto.
Joey: Nunca he tenido ese sueo.
Chandler: De repente, el telfono comienza a sonar. Ahora no s qu hacer, todo el mundo
empieza a mirar a m.
Mnica: Y ellos no estaban mirando antes ?!
Chandler: Por ltimo, me imagino que ser mejor que la conteste, y resulta que es mi
madre, lo cual es raro muy, muy, porque- ella nunca me llama!

[Lapso de tiempo, Ross ha introducido.]

Ross: (avergonzada) Hola.
Joey: Este tipo dice hola, quiero suicidarme.
Monica: Ests bien, cario?
Ross: Me siento como si alguien llega a mi garganta, me agarr del intestino delgado, lo
sac de la boca y la at alrededor de mi cuello ...
Chandler: Galleta?
Mnica: (explicar a los dems) Carol movi la materia hacia fuera hoy.
Joey: Ohh.
Mnica: (a Ross) Deja que te traiga un poco de caf.
Ross: Gracias.
Ross: Voy a estar bien, de acuerdo? En realidad, todo el mundo. Espero que va a ser muy
feliz.
Mnica: No, no lo hace.
Ross: No, yo no, al diablo con ella, ella me dej!
Joey: Y nunca se saba que era lesbiana ...
Ross: No !! Bueno?! Por qu todo el mundo fijarse en eso? Ella no lo saba, cmo debo
saber?
Chandler: (. Todos ellos lo miran) A veces me gustara ser lesbiana ... Puedo decir eso en
voz alta?
Ross: Me dijo mam y pap anoche, que pareca llevar bastante bien.
Monica: Ah, s, por lo que esa llamada telefnica histrica que recib de una mujer
sollozando en 03 a.m., "Nunca tendr nietos, que nunca tendr nietos." Era que? Un
nmero equivocado?
Ross: Lo siento.
Joey: Muy bien Ross, mira. Te sientes mucho dolor en este momento. Ests enojado. Ests
haciendo dao. Puedo decirle cul es la respuesta?
(Ross gestos su consentimiento.)
Joey: Tira conjunta! Vamos, que ests sola! Tienen algunas hormonas!
Ross: Yo no quiero estar sola, de acuerdo? Yo solo ... Yo solo Slo quiero casarme otra
vez!

(Rachel entra en un vestido de novia hmedo y empieza a buscar en la habitacin.)

Chandler: Y slo quiero un milln de dlares! (Le tiende la mano con suerte).
Mnica: Rachel ?!
Rachel: Oh Dios Mnica Hola! Gracias a Dios! Acabo de ir a su edificio y no estabas all
y entonces este tipo con un gran martillo dije que podra estar aqu y usted es, usted es!
Monica: Toma un caf (Monica a Rachel)
Mnica: (sealando a Rachel) De-CAFF. (A todos) Est bien, todo el mundo, esto es
Rachel, otro sobreviviente de alta Lincoln. (A Rachel) Se trata de todos, este es Chandler y
Phoebe, y Joey, y- que recuerde mi hermano Ross?
Rachel: Hola, seguro!
Ross: Hola.
(Se van a abrazar pero paraguas de Ross abre. Se vuelve a sentarse nuevamente derrotado.
Un momento de silencio sigue como se sienta Rachel y los dems esperan que le explique.)
Monica: As que quiere que a nosotros decimos ahora, o estamos a la espera de cuatro
damas de honor mojado?
Rachel: Oh Dios ... as, que comenz alrededor de media hora antes de la boda. Yo estaba
en la habitacin en la que estbamos manteniendo todos los presentes, y yo estaba
buscando en este salsera. Esto realmente magnfico salsera Lamauge. Cuando de sbitas (a
la camarera que trajo su caf) Sweet 'n' Lo -? Me di cuenta que estaba ms excitado por este
salsera que por Barry! Y entonces me puse muy asustado, y fue entonces cuando me di
cuenta: la cantidad de Barry se parece a Mr. Potato Head. Ya sabes, quiero decir, siempre
supe me resultaba familiar, pero ... De todos modos, yo slo tena que salir de all, y yo
empec a preguntar "Por qu estoy haciendo esto, y que estoy haciendo esto? '. (A
Mnica) As que de todos modos yo slo no saba a dnde ir, y s que t y yo hemos
desplazado un poco de distancia, pero usted es la nica persona que saba que viva aqu en
la ciudad.
Monica: Quin no fue invitado a la boda?
Rachel: Oh, yo estaba un poco esperando que no sera un problema ...
