Guarantee terms and conditions


Manufacturers Guarantee Terms and Conditions
Products manufactured and supplied by Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd, are guaranteed against material
or manufacturing faults for the duration of the guarantee period (Manufacturers Guarantee), subject to
the following terms and conditions:
a. The product must be purchased and installed within one of the following territories: the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.
b. The product must be correctly installed and commissioned in accordance with the installation
instructions for your product and must meet the requirements of the Benchmark initiative if applicable.
c. The product must be registered via the internet at www.worcester-bosch.co.uk within 30 days of
installation.
d. The guarantee period will commence from date of installation, unless the installation is made more than
six months from the date on which the product was dispatched by us, in which case the guarantee period
will commence six months from the date of Manufacture
e. The guarantee period for your product/component will vary depending on its type and the accreditation
of your installer. To confirm the guarantee period applicable to your product, please visit our website at

f. The product must only be used in a domestic or light commercial environment, (light commercial is
defined as a semi domestic/commercial environment, including hair salons, small shops, pubs etc. )
g. The product must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturers user instructions and serviced
annually, by a Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd or other competent engineer. Proof of servicing may be
required to validate a guarantee.
h. Once installed the product must not be moved unless authorisation has been provided by us in writing
for you to do so.
i. During the guarantee period any product or component which is proved to be faulty or defective in
manufacture, will be repaired or replaced free of material and labour charges, providing that we have
authorised or carried out the repair or replacement.
j. We will not accept or reimburse the costs of any third party who undertakes any work carried on the
product or fits parts, unless we have approved such work in advance of it being carried out.
k. The guarantee period will not be extended even if we repair or replace any product or part.
l. If we replace any component or product, the part or product removed will become our property.
m. Any claim made under the terms and conditions of this guarantee must be made within the guarantee
period.
n. You must comply with our service engineer appointment terms and conditions if an engineer needs to
attend.
o. The Manufacturers Guarantee does not apply to:
Products installed on boats including house boats;
Mini-expansion vessels;
Consumables as specified by us, including but not limited to: oil nozzles, hoses, gaskets and
batteries;
Fuel lines to the product, plugs or cables;
Radiators and other space heating equipment, external water, gas and oil pipelines/services,
external electric wiring, external pumps, flue-ways, fire valves, filters, water and oil storage tanks;
Damage caused by faulty installation, theft, tampering, neglect, misuse, accident, fire, flood,
explosion, lightning, storms, frost or other bad weather conditions;
Damage caused by the non-observance of the manufacturers user instructions;
Damage to the system as a result of scale;
Damage as a result of sludge or blockages;
Any unauthorised adjustments made to the product by a third party;
Any upgrading/improvement work required as a result of legislation, (Health & Safety or
otherwise) or to meet current standards;
Servicing and its associated costs;
Boiler de-scaling and chemical cleansing/flushing;

Bleeding of oil supply pipelines;


Turning on the product and adjusting switches and controls except following an approved repair
under this guarantee;
Self maintenance tasks such as, re-pressurising and resetting the product, bleeding excess
system pressure and thawing frozen condensate pipes/wastes, (for guidance on carrying out self
maintenance tasks then please visit our website at www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/FAQ or
alternatively please telephone 0330 123 3366).

Telephone calls to may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. You
can call 0330 123 9339, (open 7am8pm Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Sat, 9am-12pm Sun and 8am-4.30pm
on bank holidays. Calls to 03 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02
number and must count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls. These
rules apply to calls from any type of line, including mobile, BT, other fixed phone line or payphone.
Calls from mobiles and some other networks may vary).

Data Protection
Your details will be held and used by Bosch Thermotechnology Limited and selected companies
acting on our behalf to administer your guarantee and to conduct repairs. We may disclose your
information to our service providers and agents for these purposes. We may also use your data
for training and testing purposes.
If you have given us permission, your details may also be used by us or third parties for other
marketing purposes. We and the third parties (if applicable) may contact you by mail, telephone or
email. If you no longer want your data to be used by third parties or by us for marketing purposes
and you have not already notified us please email us at Service.Mailbox@uk.bosch.com or
alternatively please write to our Customer Service Team at our registered office listed below.

Two year guarantee


The appliance is guaranteed against faulty materials or workmanship for a period of 24 calendar
months from the date of installation subject to the following conditions and exceptions
That during the period of this guarantee any components of the unit which are proved to be faulty
or defective in manufacture will be exchanged or repaired free of material charges and free of
labour charges if repaired directly by Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd
Invoices for attendance and repair of this appliance by third parties will not be accepted for
payment by Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd
That the householder may be asked to prove the date of installation, that the appliance was
correctly commissioned and that the annual service at the end of the 1st year of installation has
been carried out to the satisfaction of Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd, when requested
The guarantee must be registered within 30 days of installation
That any product or part thereof returned for servicing under the guarantee must be accompanied
by a claim stating the Model, Serial Number, Date of Installation
That Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd will not accept responsibility for damage caused by faulty
installation, neglect, misuse or accidental damage, the non-observance of the instructions
contained in the Installation and Users Instructions leaflets
That the appliance has been used only for normal domestic purposes for which it was designed
That this guarantee applies only to equipment purchased and used in the United Kingdom,
Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands

5 year guarantee promotion terms and conditions


Gas CDi, Ri and i System, Si boilers
All Greenstar gas boilers purchased, installed and registered between 1st January 2014 and 31st
December 2014 qualify for an additional 3 year guarantee on top of the standard 2 year guarantee (5
years in total).

Gas i Junior boilers


All Greenstar i Junior gas boilers purchased, installed and registered between 1st July 2014 and 31st
December 2014 qualify for an additional 3 years guarantee on top of the standard 2 year guarantee (5
years in total).

Greenstar Heatslave, Utility and Danesmoor boilers


All Greenstar Heatslave, Utility and Danesmoor oil-fired boilers installed with a Worcester Greenstar
System Filter, purchased and installed between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2014 qualify for an
additional 3 year guarantee on top of the standard 2 year guarantee (5 years in total).
Terms and conditions:
All Greenstar gas-fired CDi, Si, Ri and i System and Greenstar oil-fired Heatslave, Utility and
Danesmoor condensing boilers are valid for this promotion. (Greenstar i Junior gas boilers are
valid from 1st July to 31st December 2014).
The Greenstar CDi, Si and Ri and i System boilers must be serviced annually for the additional 3
year guarantee and the boilers must be purchased and installed between 1st January and 31st
December 2014 and registered within 30 days with Worcester, Bosch Group.
The Greenstar Heatslave, Utility and Danesmoor boilers must be serviced annually for the
additional 3 year guarantee and the boilers must be purchased and installed with a Worcester
Greenstar System Filter between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2014 and registered
within 30 days with Worcester, Bosch Group.
Offer does not apply to contracts.
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Worcester, Bosch Group offer.
Offer applies to UK mainland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland only.
The decision of Worcester, Bosch Group is final.
