I extend a warm welcome to all the invitees for attending
the farewell and felicitation function of Sri Y. Rajeev Reddy
garu Superintending Engineer (R&B), R&B Circle, Kurnool on
being elevated to the post of CGM (NHAI), Bangalore.
1. First of all on behalf of R&B Circle, Kurnool I have great
pleasure in inviting sri B.Jayarami Reddy garu, Executive
Engineer (R&B) R&B Divcision, Kurnool who is going to
preside-over the function.

2. May I, now, invite our Young & Dynamic Engineer of the

R&B Department and todays felicitee, our beloved
Superintending Engineer, R&B Circle, now CGM-NHAI,
Bangalore, Sri Y. Rajiv Reddy garu to grace the dais with
his presence.

Sri Y. Rajiv Reddy garu was born on 12th June 1960 at

Ramireddy Palli Village near Jammalamdugu in Kadapa
Dist. His parents are Sri Y. Venkatapathi Reddy garu and
Smt. Y. Sraswathamma garu.
He had his primary education upto class 10 th in B.Z
High School, Chittoor. He did his intermediate in PCR
Govt. Juniour College, Chittoor. He passed B. Tech with
Distinction in Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering
College, Warangal in the year 1982. Further, He obtained
his Masters degree from Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore in 1984.
Soon after completion of his Education, He started his
carrier as Asst. Professor in KSRM Engineering College,

Kadapa in the year 1984. Later on, he joined as Asst.

Executive Engineer in Panchayath Raj Department in the
year 1986. He had continued in the same position till
August 1986.
Subsequently

he

got

selected

as

Dy.

Executive

Engineer in Roads and Buildings Department through

Direct Recruitmement and posted as Dy. EE (R&B),
Tirupathi. He worked as Dy. Execuitve Engineer(R&B) in
various places like Investigation Division, Kurnool for a
period of 3 years, R&B Sub-Division, Dhramavaram for a
period of 3 years, R&B Sub-Division, Anantapuramu for a
period of 4 years and Dy. EE (R&B) Yemmiganur for a
period of 3 years.

contributed his valuable services to the department for
period of 2 years there and got tranfered to R&B Division,
Kurnool in November 2002. He worked as Executive
Enginner (R&B), Kurnool for a period of about 3 years.

During his tenure, he was instrumental in developing the

lot of road infrastructure in and around the Kurnool,
particularly rural roads.
Further, He got promoted as Superintending Engineer
(R&B) in August 2005 and rendered his excellent services
to

the

Kurnool

commendation

circle

and

certificates

received
from

Administration.
Later on, Sri Rajiv Reddy garu was transferred and
posted

as

Project

Director,

APRDC,

Hyderbad

in

September 2008. He worked there for a period, little over

1 year. He was instrumental in clearing the number of
world Bank and external aided projects. He has taken lot
of pains in clearing Kurnool-Devanakonda Road under
World Bank Scheme.
It may be recalled that the floods devasted the Kurnool
District completely in September 2009, particularly Road
Infrastructure. Considering his past experience in Kurnool
District, the Government has again re-posted him as
Superintending Engineer (R&B), Kurnool to re-construct

the road infrastructure in the post flood situation during

December 2009. Taking it as a challenge Sri Y. Rajiv
Reddy garu did excellent service and brought the road
network to the original condition at a record time. In His
tenure as Superintnding Engineer (R&B) Kurnool, he not
only kept up his performance in delivering the duties but
also he had lived up to

the expectaions of the

Government, public and public representatives too.

With his lengthy service of nearly 28 years he worked
in different capacities in the department. He had a good
opportunuity to build the road infrastructure in the state
particularly in Kurnool District and evolved as good
administrator in the department.
He is very much appraochable to the every one in the
department and he maintains cordial relations with every
section of employes, Contractors and the officers form
other departments also.
To cater the requirements of the ever increasing traffic
in India, it is hour of the need to expand the Highway
network in the Country. For this purpose, the Government

of India has constituted National Highway Authority to

build and amaintain the Highways. Recognising our sirs
track record of technical expertise, experience and
administative capabilities, he was selected as Chief
General Manager, National Highway Authority of India.
He is the only one from Andhra Pradesh who got selected
for this prestigious post. Now he is incharge for the
construction of National highways in both Karnataka and
Kerala states.
On behalf of Kurnool Circle, We wish him all the best.,
and good success
and
we are looking farward to be seen as Chief Engineer
(R&B) Hyderabad in our Department very soon.
