Magister Sains Manajemen (M.Si.M.)
(equivalent to Master’s Degree in Management)
A. General Purpose
1. Magister Sains Manajemen Universitas Nasional is organized to meet the needs of the daily
business activities and academic world.
2. The needs of the daily business activities in the era of global economy is the availability of
human resources who are professionally capable of solving problems with accurate
management based on scientific principles.
3. The needs of the academic world in the era of globalization is to promoting the creation of
"Research University" which demands the availability of human resources that meet the
 academic qualifications. These qualifications will be useful to pursue formal education up to
doctorate level (S-3).
4. Improving the ability of research and analysis problems professionally both in economics
and management.

B. Specific Purpose
1. Having competency both in Academic and professional. With this qualification, students of
Magister Sains Manajemen Universitas Nasional is not only capable to pursue doctorate
level (S-3) in economics and management, but also have professional skills relevant to areas
of concentration and interest.
2. Having strong analysis of using quantitative methods. Solid analytical skills is key to succeed
for an academic or a professional in social life. Therefore, quantitative methods as an
instrument of analysis that should be compounded with a solid academic and professional
competence.
3. Having ability to retrieve accurate management decisions based on the scientific principles.
4. Having technical capability of data processing, as well as the ability to interpret the results.
To support proficiency in using quantitative methods, the graduates are also strengthen with
data processing technical skills, and be able to read and interpret the results.

Academic Degree:
Students who successfully complete their studies will be awarded M.Si.M. (Magister Sains
Manajemen).

Status:
Graduate Degree in Sains Manajemen Universitas Nasional has been recognized by the Ministry of
National Education with Decree No. 1343/D/T/2005.
