Week 2
• Last week we began ministering on how that the
culture of times past was apparent by outward
adornment and physical idolatry . We will continue in
this same avenue realizing that we are changed into
what we worship, and what if it isn’t God?
• We have come to realize that the times are perilous
and truly we are witnessing the eternal plan of God
come to culmination. We realize that there is a power
behind this system that is seeking to deceive us.
• “Watch” is the keyword for all those on the walls of this
city, for all the families that live inside of this city

• What if we are being conformed instead of
transformed ? We are convinced that the
nature of this deception is not visible to our
natural recognition system, but only can be
revealed by our spiritual recognition syste
• God always raises up someone, He has
historically sought for men and women who
will answer the call in their generation.

• In Jeremiah 1, the bible speaks of the call of this
man, his response is much like the response of
any generation that loves God yet seems
insignificant in the “big plan”. He tells God that he
is not renowned for his wisdom or has not yet
earned a seat at the gate. His experience or
influence has not yet matured.
• God doesn’t listen to his excuses, He gives Him
the only criteria necessary for any generation or
person, that is

• 5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;
and before thou camest forth out of the womb I
sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet
unto the nations.
• 8Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to
deliver thee, saith the LORD.
• 9Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched
my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I
have put my words in thy mouth.

• 19Andthey shall fight against thee; but they
shall not prevail against thee; for I am with
thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
• What greater measure of God’s presence
would we need than these promises?
• You see once a culture has become so
engrafted into God’s cultural people it takes
an intervention on God’s part, The language of
the Bible says it like this…..

• 10See,I have this day set thee over the nations and
over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and
to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Jeremiah 1.10
• Root out bespeaks of something that has began to
bear fruit upward because of something that has roots
downward. Something that was not handled in the
beginning but now has a real hold on lives…..
• Pull down speaks to me of something that has been
hidden and now the curtain or uncovering of that mask
is at hand…..

• What is it “to destroy”, from the original of “ having no way
to flee”. Destroying the works of the devil in people’s lives,
stop the path that they are on and giving them a change of
direction. Many are on the wrong road waiting for it to
merge into the right road, it never happens. If this culture
has you trapped then you need for God to loose you and
set you free.
You have heard of the modern colloquialism of “do you want
to throw down”, to throw down means we begin to engage
the enemy where the battles are being fought. We are
going to have to get out of the flesh and get into the spirit
to engage this enemy. The battle is not being fought in
what we see, that is only the fruit of how the battle is
going.

We are the church , we are the Jeremiah of this
generation, we have not chosen to be here
now, but were chosen to be here now!
I am with you on the complaint side, however
we can’t introspect, avoid or continue to make
excuses concerning the condition of the
church, and how that this culture,
masterminded by Satan himself has been
influenced by the “leaven of this system”.

• It is a God ordained thing that the “house of the latter
would be greater than that of the former”. We have been
looking through the wrong paradigm, trying to use the
same vernacular or literally trying to imitate the book of
Acts. That is not what we are supposed to be doing, we are
creating a “book of remembrance ” based on the Paul’s and
the Peter’s, and the men and women of this generation.
We are the “latter”, and all of heaven is waiting for the
“Acts of the Latter House” to be written. The question is
who will be the next Timothy, the next Aquilla and Priscilla,
the next Stephen. It will be those whom God has called and
has given divine calling and enablement to get the work
done.

• This is my point about the culture of Jesus, I
am tired of trying to imitate, I just can’t do it,
imitate a revival, imitate or use the same
words to heal, imitate the same tongue, doing
the same thing but only an imitation, a small
replica of the real.
• God is calling us to create this environment of
His culture, where His words, and Spirit give
us direction for this generation and the future.

• The work is great, time is short but God will get the work
done, the task may seem insurmountable, but comes to
pass the scripture that relates to the overwhelming……
• For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise
men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are
called:
• 27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to
confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things
of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
• 28And base things of the world, and things which are
despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not,
to bring to nought things that are:
• 29That no flesh should glory in his presence. 1 Cor 1:26-29

• We are not speaking against education or
intellect, because the more you know the more
you see. We are speaking of a “participation” in
the move of God trying to keep the tentacles of
this world from strangling the life out of people
who can’t figure out why they can’t seem to get a
handle of this program.
• I am bringing us to an awareness of the “situation
of the city”, so that you will respond. If we don’t
here is the result…..

• 17”Thoutherefore gird up thy loins, and arise,
and speak unto them all that I command thee:
be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound
thee before them” Jeremiah 1:17
• Confusion is not knowing what to do in the
midst of surrounding activity. It is like seeing
double and not knowing which is the real
object. Satan wants the church to be ignorant
of his devices.

• 1 Corinthians 12:1,2
• 1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I
would not have you ignorant.
• 2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away
unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
• Remember idolatry can be defined as a “social
phenomena” where a false perception is
created and worshipped.

• In the battle of the ages, Satan in these last
days has disguised and hidden inside of
culture, his plan to make us think that we are
operating inside of normal life. However this
plan is intended to create a power that drives
and builds importance in the mind of the
believer until they refuse to recognize that a
stronghold from this system has them in
captivity.

though we walk in the flesh, we do not
war after the flesh:
• 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling
down of strong holds;)
• 5Casting down imaginations, and every high
thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ;

• We must understand that every other idealism,
value system, that is worshipped or adored by
way of honor has slavery at it’s end.
• God is the only source of freedom, every other
power source seeks to enslave us. We become
subject to the demands of that thought , feeling
or status.
• The definition of the world is the “mass of
thoughts, ideas, and opinions contrary to God”

• There is a battle between fallen Lucifer and
God over who you will worship. Lucifer has a
hidden agenda, God commands that we love
Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and body.
When we join ourselves under the guise of
culture and life, this captivity evolves to
deception and God’s truths fall by the
wayside. It will be the dividing point of
delusion. “

• That’s why the scripture teaches us that we are
not warring with things we can see, but with that
influence (For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.) that
draws us away from God that is hidden inside of
culture. It is a form of witchcraft because it is so
cloaked in everyday life. Worship can be defined
as what you put time and devotion into. Where
your treasure is, there is the heart of the matter.

• What is God’s heart toward us?

hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
• 2Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot

• 3Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may
consume it upon your lusts.

idolatry.
• 15I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

• 16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the

communion of the blood of Christ? The bread
which we break, is it not the communion of the
body of Christ?
• 17For we being many are one bread, and one
body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
• 18Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which
eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

• 21Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of
devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and
of the table of devils.
• 22Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger
than he?

ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat,

• 28But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols,
eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the
earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
• 29Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my
liberty judged of another man's conscience?
• 30For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for
which I give thanks?
• 31Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to
the glory of God.
• 32Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to
the church of God:
• 33Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit,
but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

• In summation, what is the first warning, it is that
this culture has disguised a system that has
power and influence inside of every day life that
wants to change where your devotion lays. It will
cause you to reason the absurdity of the issue
away and open yourself up for deceit. You will
worship it, your defense of this power will be the
evidence that it is competing with God. The next
warning will show your heart, based on denial,
you willingness to sacrifice.
