used medical equipment in good, clean condition: potty
chairs, shower benches, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. (no
hospital beds.) Also, they accept unopened packages of
adult diapers and pads. These items are in great need.
Center of Life is located at 200 S.W. 5th St. (the old Coors

Weatherford Chamber free seminar
The Weatherford Chamber of Commerce wants to help
every business get found on the web through the Lets Put
Weatherford on the Map workshop May 3 from 8:30-9:30
a.m. at Fairfield Inn and Suites, 175 Alford Dr., Weatherford.
Topics include how to be found on Goggle, making sure
your business info is complete and up to date, Google My

Greenwood Farm Horse Trails will run Friday, May 6

Fire Department Fajita Feed is Saturday, May 7, at the
Expo Center, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be auctions,

Wildflower Walk
Wildflower Walk is May 7 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Lake
Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway.
Join Park Interpreter David Owens for a walk in the park
to observe and identify wildflowers. Along the way Owens
will stop and identify plants and tell about the plants nature, folklore and other interesting facts.

soon! Open to swimmers 6 years old and up, this is a family friendly activity that is competitive and healthy! New
swimmer tryouts will begin May 9, but you must call the
City Gym to reserve your spot. Returning swimmers,
please go by the City Gym to register for the team. The
cost is $70 per swimmer plus the cost of team swimsuit.

Taste of Parker County
More than 20 area restaurants will provide their samples
of food and drinks at Canyon West Golf Club, 160 Club
House Drive, Weatherford, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Music provided by the Weatherford College Jazz Band
and Combo.
Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. All proceeds
benefit the Weatherford College Foundation.

Spring Creek Musical
The Spring Creek Musical will be held Friday, May 13,
at 6 p.m. in the
tabernacle, located on Highway 51 between Weatherford
and Granbury.
The old time musical consisting of bluegrass, gospel
and country music is held the second Friday night of each
month. A concession stand is available with all proceeds
going to the expenses of the utilities and upkeep of the
100+ year old building.
The musical is an all-volunteer operation with no one
getting paid for their time or talent. The musical is free and
open to the public.

Kids Wilderness Survival
Kids Wilderness Survival May 14 at 8:30 a.m. at Lake
Mineral Wells State Park and Trailway.
This two and a half hour course is a fun way for kids
to learn how to keep from getting lost and what to do if
they become lost. The course includes interactive games,
demonstrations and a hike on the nature trail. The course
requires kids accompanied by a parent, guardian or youth
group leader.

Maximum number of participants accepted 25.
Tin Top Clean-Up
The Tin Top Cemetery will have its annual clean-up and
meeting Saturday morning, May 14.
A covered dish lunch will follow.

Splash and Dash
Weatherford Regional Medical Centers Healthy Woman
program and Splash Kingdom Wild West Water Park will
host the second annual Splash and Dash Family Fun Walk.
Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. with warm-up at 8:15
a.m. and the 1-mile walk at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration is
$10 and $15 on race day.
All proceeds benefit Center of Hope. Strollers are welcome.
