Wednesday Weekly Newsletter

Through working together, the best is yet to come
www.wldps.com
Issue 29 04th May 2016

Dear Parents,
MESSAGE OF THE WEEK

Soon the Wednesday Weekly will be going digital. We have made efforts to obtain as many of your email addresses as
possible in order that we can send you your newsletter via a weekly email. We shall also continue to update it on the
school website as usual each week. If you still struggle to keep up with the information that we share, we shall have a
smaller number of copies available for you in the school entrance if you wish to take one. If you have not sent your
email address to us, please find the slip below to complete your email for the school office or alternatively send your
email address to shodgson@wldps.com. This will be a considerable financial saving to the school but also a
considerably greener approach to communicating with you.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION - TOMORROW - ELECTIONS
We will be used as a polling station this Thursday for the Police and Crime Commissioner Election and the Nursery
class will therefore be closed. We shall also be required to close the Nursery class for the forthcoming EU Referendum
rd
on Thursday 23 June.
YEAR 6 ASSESSMENTS NEXT WEEK
Our Year 6 children will be taking their national tests next week and have prepared hard. Please help us by making
sure that all our children arrive promptly for the start of school. Thank you very much for this.
SAINSBURYS VOUCHERS
Please keep these coming into school. These play an important part in helping us afford resources for PE and the
playground in particular. Please keep earning and saving these and bring them to the school office or send them in
with your children to deliver to us. The deadline for receiving these is the beginning of July. Many thanks!
SWIMMING
Swimming lessons have started again and we would like to ask parents in Nursery to Year 4 for a swimming payment
of 12 this term to help support the running costs of the pool. Without your support, this fantastic resource would
not be available to so many of our children.
