Islamic Foundation Sunday School (IFSS) was established in 1975 and has
been in operation for over 40 years now.

Sunday School has classes ranging from Pre-K, KG, 1st grade through 11th grade to meet the
needs of all age groups of school going children.

1.ADMISSION POLICY
Age for Preschool: Students must be at least 4 years of age by September 1, 2016
Age for Kindergarten: Students must be at least 5 years of age by September 1, 2016
Age for Grade 1: Students must be at least 6 years of age by September 1, 2016
New students will be tested and placed in grades that best fit their academic level

Saturday Islamic School ( 9:30 am - 3 pm ).

Arabic Program
The mission of Dar Al-Huda Arabic Program is to empower students to
master adequate skills to enable them to read and comprehend the Arabic
language.
Islamic Studies Program
The Islamic Studies program is focused on faith (`aqeedah), worship
(`ibadah), character (akhlaq), and the blessed Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
(sunnah, seerah, and ahadith).
Quran Program
The Quran program focuses on correct pronunciation, simple tafseer and
memorization. Al-qaida al-nuraniyah is used as a supplement to enhance
proper recitation and correct makharij (points of articulation).

THE SCHOOL

Islamic Foundation School (IFS) is a private school located in Villa

Park, Illinois that provides a rigorous academic program focusing on
college readiness. Additionally, IFS provides comprehensive religious
instruction. IFS serves students from all over the Chicagoland area.
Despite being an all Muslim school, students at IFS are both
economically and culturally diverse. IFS is accredited by the Illinois
State Board of Education (ISBE) and the North Central Association
Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA
CASI).The High School Faculty team is composed of 22 certified
teachers. IFS also has certified caterers for daily hot lunches.

IFS focuses on a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum. A majority

of classes are weighted since most courses that are offered are Honors
and Advanced Placement. The GPA scale is out of 5.0 and weighted

Islamic Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Villa Park, IL, was founded in 1974 and since then has been serving the
western suburbs community of Chicago. Islamic Foundation has the following programs:

Annual Foundation dinner and Special Fund raising dinners: A
tradition of Islamic Foundation, organize special fund raising dinners with
specific goals
Annual Seerat un Nabi program: Seerat and Nasheed program popularly
attended by women from all Islamic centers in Illinois
Boutique Bazaar/ Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha: Serves the purpose of
Promotion of small businesses in the community
Food Distribution to poor: Supply food to poor and needy As well as food
pantries in neighborhood suburbs every Month and during Ramadan and
Eid ul adha
Community Outreach: Liaison with churches and other Islamic Centers
promote the activities for interfaith harmony and interaction with the local
community

Free Medical Screening: Hosts Health fairs Bi-Annually and every last
Sunday of the month blood pressure diabetes asthma and obesity screening
available on site
Seniors assistance Program: Provide information on Medicare and Public
aid
Ladies Luncheon: Held once a year for community women to update on our
activities and take input for enhancements to our services and programs
Monthly Seminars and lecture series: Monthly series of informative
lectures; on health, nutrition and other social topics such as parenting etc. are
arranged for the community benefit
50+ club seniors program: Seniors program is held every last Sunday of each
month program consists of discussions on social and health issues concludes
with lunch
Sunday Snack and Lunch Program: This program services the Sunday
school students, snacks and juices are sold during the break time and a few
lunches after zuhr prayers
Turkey Distribution: This is done during the Thanks Giving as part of maintaining a caring and friendly relationship with the local community.

Tools to create systemic change
Adult Education: Classes are offered throughout the year, including hadith/
seerah, spiritual, health, finance and business.
Bookstore: A full service Islamic bookstore offers quality books from around
the world.
Zakat: Funds are collected and distributed to the needy throughout the year
Quran Tafseer and Tajweed Classes: Weekly classes are open to the
community relating to Tafseer and Tajweed

Muslim Leadership Academy(MLA)

The MLA program is an innovative Islamic weekend program focused on academic, social, and most
importantly spiritual development of our youth. We offer a variety of classes from preschool through 11th
grade. Our talented and enthusiastic staff are certified to teach in their respective areas of specialty, and
have been carefully selected and trained by our Administrative Board to ensure the highest quality
education for our students.
