3. Wind Load:, When calculating the design loads on the wing, the total force
on a single wing will be summed to a single point and the resulting force will be
applied to all 30 wings.
4. The vertical structural load: The overall weight of the new winged
structure will be supported by the bracketing on the spine of the building.
5. Dimensioning: Only key components of the system will be considered and
discussed in order to get a general idea of the sytem without having to dive into
great detail. Design components like fasteners, bearing type, and transmission of
power will not be elaborated on.
6. Modeling stress
Proposed System Design
Drive components:
The proposed design will consist of a Switch Reluctance Motor connected to a
transmition then to two driving shafts with 30 fins mounted on each. The two rods will
rest on 15 bearings each and transmit a uniform axial force to the fins moving them all at
the same angular velocity.

(SRM) le This section presents and explains the proposed system. It does not have to be
specific on all aspects, but should include sufficient detail that a reader can understand
the proposed concept and its main components.

The diagram should be of professional quality. (It does not need to be a CAD drawing. If
hand drawn, make sure that it is clean and lines are drawn with a ruler. It is recommended
that you use a software package, such as Illustrator, Inkscape, or Dia, to draw non-CAD
figures.)
Analysis and Results
This section shows all calculations and results. It is suggested that you divide this
section into subsections, such as (1) design load analysis, (2) free-body diagram(s), (3)
beam dimensions, and (4) other parameters (bending and shear stress, factors of safety,
etc.).
The figures accompanying the analysis must follow the recommendations for
drawings. All text in the figures must be legible. Figures should be captioned, and
referred to in the text. For example: Figure 1 shows a free-body diagram with the
expected loads and reactions on a model of a beam.

This section summarizes the results, raises concerns, suggests improvements to the
design, and addresses next steps, that is, future work.
**NOTE: The report is to be written in the style of an internal technical report.
(It should not be written as a narrative in a conversational style.)
