We put weights to each question 0. 1.so that the total weight is 1(0.110=1).We ranked the 5 options
as 5,4,3,2,1 which is descending. Then by multiplying rank with the weight we find out the popularity
of the students and staff(X1 and X2).
After that, we used t distribution techniques to find out is there any difference in the popularity of the
two credit cards.
As a result, we formulated a hypothesis that there is no significant difference of popularity between
student and staff.
Null hypothesis H0: 1= 2, i.e., there is no significant difference in the popularity of the need of
students and staff member .they both want to refurbishing the collage.. We will be Appling t-test.

The calculated value of t is less than the table value. Our null hypothesis is accepted. Hence, we
concluded that there is no significance difference on the need of students and staff. That means
refurbishing is need for both students and staff.
In the end it can be said that students want to study under a good and clean environment and on
the other hand staff want a beautiful environment for concentrating in their work.

Executive summary
In this research we tried the different opinion of students and staff of the college so see how their
onions are differing or match. Analyzing the result and the forecasting for future show that how
the future work will take. This research contains how to collect data, what are the onions and by
analyzing them give a proper decision regarding the college refurbishing.

Conclusion
So, finally the college authority decide to refurnish the college, because students and teach were
giving almost same opinion. The result will be varied in different cases. There might be cases
where students and staff members might not match in opinion. In those cases different approach
are applied to reach a satisfactory result.

Comment:
For a given set of data Pearsons correlation represents as,
If the value of the r is +1 then there is a perfectly positive linear relation between two variables.
If the value of the r is -1 then there is a perfectly negative linear relation between two variables.
If the value of the r is 0 then there is no linear relation between two variables.
It is hard to get 0, +1,-1 Pearsons correlation for a given data.
Pearsons correlation is 0.764 means there is a 0.764 degree of positive linear relation between
two variables.
Assignment 3
Q1. Project plan and critical path:
Critical Path Management (CPM) is the primary function of the best selling project management
software. Large plots of project schedules hang in construction trailers and project management
offices depicting the network diagram and the critical path. No project professional in his or her
right mind would start a project without calculating the critical path. This is not temporary based
23
project but it is needed to be planned and executing the plan efficiently. This project is costly to
the institution and without government support no college can reform individually. With the
relevant data college reformation is not possible. Success with the critical path method hinges on
knowing task durations. Each person will estimate the time it will take them to perform. If they
are at all risk averse then they will also buffer that duration based on their experience performing
similar tasks, because they dont want to be the person responsible for getting the project off
track. College must investigate task level of effort (estimated hours to perform) for every task on
the critical path and consider carefully its application. Durations alone are not sufficient. Tasks
dont start and finish as represented in the project schedule. This would be fine if all the
performers for critical path tasks were always available to perform on the project, but this is not
the case. In most organizations people are working on more than one project at a time or project
work is in addition to their normal work responsibilities. The future is uncertain and
unknowable. Commitments must be adjusted as the future unfolds. Those adjustments can be
done by the project manager or anyone on the project team. However only those people involved
in planning the project will be in the position to notice and then assess the need for adjustment.
Accept the plan as represented on the critical path is what will not happen; task starts and
finishes are uncertain.
Investigate the level of effort for every task on the critical path. Adjust buffers in accordance
with the circumstances and the competence available.
Make assignments only when the work is ready prerequisite work are complete and resources
are available.
Measure the performance of planning practices as a basis for eliminating the sources of task
variability.
Include performers in planning conversations to give them practice for the inevitably uncertain
future.
In this regard, Computers and projectors are mandatory for students and college authority need
to provide it. Library reformation is not needed now if they have computer they can collect their
particulars with it. So after the acceptance of project manager must concentrate on computer
labs, additional accommodation or rooms and proper sustainability. There after concentrate on
library.

From the spreadsheet it is found that the NPV of the said project is 110,080.36 and the cost of
the machine is 100000. So 110,080.36-100000= 10080 which is positive. So the machine
should be purchased as it is fulfilled the criteria of NPV assessment. Here we use the built in
function of NPV from Microsoft excel sheet which is:
