Goals of Course
The objectives of the course are to:
1) Provide an introduction to methods and techniques of teaching ESL/EFL students how
to listen and read more effectively.
2. Provide introduction to methods and techniques of teaching ESL/EFL students how to
express themselves in writing.
3. Provide a forum for the discussion of issues and problems related to teaching of the
four skills to EFL/ESL students.
4) Clarify important research methods that have been employed in research on language
teaching methodology during the past several decades.
Course Requirements
1. Summaries: Students will provide summaries for the chapters and topics listed in
the course schedule.
2. Presentations: Each student will make two short presentations on the topics listed
in the course schedule.
