volunteers that would be willing to make sure everyone is scheduled as well as
volunteers to host/usher people in at their appropriate times the evenings of the
portrait sessions.
May 11, Wed.- JGA, JBA and Jr. Youth will meet at Bowmansville at 7 p.m. JGA will
be planting flowers around the church and have an ice cream party with their moms.
JBA will be doing a service project at Brubaker Park. Jr. Youth will be doing a service
project at MCC's MRC from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Please note that this is the last time the
groups will meet until the new year begins in September.
May 12, Thurs.-You are invited to a work day at MCC MRC Trout Run Road,
Ephrata, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You are welcome to come the entire time or as it suits
you. There will be work available for men, women and children age 11 & older.
Projects may include recycling, checking kit bags, quilting and knotting comforters.
Bring your lunch, drinks will be provided.
May 14, Sat.-9 a.m.-12 p.m.- There will be an American Red Cross CPR certification
class at St. Pauls in Adamstown. Reservations must be made to Pastor Sandy by Mon.,
May 9 at 484-1172 or by email pastorg@dejazzd.com. Cost is $20 paid on Sat.
May 18, Wed.-You are invited to join the District Sewing Circle being held in the
basement of BMC, in the morning and afternoon. The work supports people in need in
various places. Bring a covered dish to share at the noon meal. Hygiene Kit for
MCC:Contents include:1 adult size toothbrush, 1 lg bar bath soap,1 fingernail clipper
(good quality), 1 hand towel (dark color), toothpaste supplied by MCC
July 19-26 - Plans are in the works for a Chinese English Camp for middle school
students from China, during these dates, similar to other years. Opportunities to host
students, or assist in other ways will likely be coming.
