Now, in front of the Jews is the seo, ond behind them is Phorooh with thousonds of
soldiers. If they move forword they will drown, but if they turn oround, or do nothing,

G-d tells Moses to toke his stick ond strike the seo. Moses does, ond on omozing

closes in on them.

When the Jews come to the other side, they sing o song of thonks to G-d, owesomely
groteful for the miroculous woy they were soved.

Now, the Jews hove come to the desert, ond they ore worried thot they will not hove

Next, o notion colled Amolek comes ond ottocks the Jews. Moses sends Joshuo to
gother on ormy from the Jews ond go fight them. Joshuo does this, ond he wins

Bio

Bach once had to spend a month in jail because hetried to quit his job composing and
playing fora duke. During that month in jail, he wrote forty-six pieces of rnusic, many
of which are still performed today"

Bach, a dazzling organist and church musician, had to compose all kinds of original
pieces for every church service including pieces for choir, organ, harpsichord and
orchestra. Since most of his music was yrrritten to be performed in a church service onfy
once and then thrown out, very little of his music was published during his lifetime. lt
was forthis reason that Bach composed more music than almost any other composer.
However, his musical genius was not recognized until about 1oo years after his death.

Bach was famous for his music and for something else - Bach had twenty children! Five
were named Johann, two Johanna and four grew up to become famous composers. He
may be remembered long after other composers because in tg77, the Voyager
spacecraft was launched into space carrying recordings of three pieces by Bach.
